Disclaimer: I don't own anything from or related to Megaman in any form or another, Kenji Inafune is the creator plus it is a real shame that he left Capcom and there was no 25th Anniversary for the series all because Capcom is not what it used to be even though I still like Street Fighter, Resident Evil and Final Fight.
PS: I have noticed the Star Force series is tied with Megaman Legends as being the second shortest saga of the entire Megaman franchise in general (the shortest being the ZX as that series only had two games, one less than both Star Force and Legends).
Megaman Star Force: The Radio Wave Wars
Chapter 1 – A New Era Begins

oooooooooo
The year is 220X.
A future where humanity has progressed to a point where they have been able to end most of the wars that had been plaguing Earth in the past, and solve the problems of overpopulation, scarcity of resources and race barriers. The huge breakthroughs in science, technology and overall knowledge allowed mankind to creare a better standard of living for everyone, the poorer country in the world saw their living conditions greatly improve, and greater ciance for the expansion and the overall progress of humanity revealed themselves.
But as old problems were solved, new ones surfaced, as is the nature of both humanity and the world itself.
In the year 200X, two centuries before, the world was almost brought to its knees by cybercrime, because of shadowy organizations that used the net to perpetrate their crimes and threaten the lives of innocents. Foremost among these organization were the WWW, the Net-Mafia Gospel and, later on, the mysterious crime syndicate known as Nebula, whose plans spanned the whole world and put the very survival of humanity in jeopardy. In the same period, even after these crime syndicates were defeated, the net came under another attack from the dreaded Maverick Virus, an evil program that could subvert other programs and bend them to its will.
In the chaos following the rise of these threats, the world was saved by a very special couple of friends – an unassuming Net-Navi (a program tasked with the maintenance of the Net) called , and his operator Lan Hikari, a fifth-grader from the small town of ACDC Town, both of them holders of a great secret that would later help cross the bridge between the human and the virtual world. Lan and Megaman, along with their small but close-knit group of friends, faced all the challenges that the WWW, Gospel and Nebula threw at them, and were instrumental in destroying the Maverick Virus and the masterminds behind its spreading, two evil and powerful Net-Navis known as and
Years later, Lan and Megaman, once again along with their friends, would find themselves in a new struggle, this time alongside Patch Hikari, the son Lan had with his childhood friend turned wife Mayl Sakurai. These events cemented the names of Lan Hikari, and their friends in history, sure to be remembered as some of the greatest heroes the world ever knew…
But now, two centuries after, the world is about to face another crisis, as the question that has loomed upon the world for many years finally found an answer. We are not alone in the universe.
The existence of extraterrestrial life forms was confirmed.
NAZA, a new space exploration organization, launched a brand-new space station called "Peace" in an attempt to establish a friendly relationship with the aliens, something which was dubbed "Brotherhood". Man's dream to find other intelligent life among the stars had found confirmation, after an incident with an entity called Duo, back in 200X, had begun to raise questions.
However, the space station, the hope of man, met with a mysterious accident, and it disappeared to whereabouts unknown. Of course, many people worked hard to find it, but the space station could not be found and then, a few months later after the incident, a section of Peace was found in the sea.
All hope was lost after that... NAZA took it hard and stopped the search, and put the project on hold permanently. Three years to the day have passed since...
On Earth, a young woman and a man who was in the house with her were watching a documentary about the incident that had occurred three years ago, this woman was named Hope Stelar and she was rather concerned about the situation from that day."I can't believe it's already been three years since Kelvin's space station vanished" commented the man in the living room with her
"Hmm, I suppose it has..." began the brown-haired young woman, whose hair was done in a short spiky ponytail, and was wearing a violet short-sleeved dress with knee-length blue trousers and green shoes. Visits like that one always managed to reopen old wounds, then again it couldn't be helped since it was due to events that were beyond their control right now and can only hope that nothing like this would ever occur again.
With a small nod of his head, the man turned to face Hope as something popped into his mind just recently. "Oh, I wanted to ask you about how he's doing..." he spoke, refering to Hope's young son Geo Stelar and he was rather curious on how the boy was right now. "He's in 5th Grade now, right?"
"He would be, but he still can't bear to go..." replied Hope, lowering her head as she was worried about Geo's well being ever since the incident from three years ago had occured. "Ever since that incident, he... he's been very closed towards everyone."
"I don't blame him. The boy lost his father, who he loved dearly... That's gotta be tough" the man responded back, he too had been concerned for Geo after what became of his father and this was something that scarred the young boy for the rest of his life to boot. "But if he's not going, what about his studies?"
"We're managing with the Card Force System... He's studying from one of the textbook type card's Navi, Teacherman but he's not really focusing" said Hope, explaining how Geo is able to do his studies without feeling the need to go out to the 5th Grade. "He fiddles with gadgets, or reads about the stars... He wants to move to outer space to find his dad."
"Oh… I see…" the man answered wistfully. "If only we had more power, we could have found…"
"Aaron, stop blaming yourself. It's okay, it's not your fault. It was an accident." She answered, causing the man in a blue jacket, brown trousers and blue shoes to look down, adjusting the blue baseball cap on his head. An uncomfortable silence followed for several moments, during which both Hope and Aaron seemed to be looking for the right words to say next… but soon enough, the sound of steps was heard, and the door on the other side of the large living room opened, letting in a young boy with spiky brown hair, wearing a red long-sleeved shirt with loose dark blue shorts, knee-high red boots and red fingerless gloves. He had deep brown eyes, and even though he was just around 10 or 11 years old, the expression on his face could only be descrive as tired and depressed. Without even turning to Hope and her guest, the boy began walking towards the door, only to stop when Hope called to him.
"Geo Stelar!" she exclaimed. "Come here and say hello, young man."
Geo stood in place for a moment, then sighed and began walking to his mom and Aaron. "Fine…" he murmured, stopping only a couple feet away from the newcomer. He took a look at him, hoping that this was not going to be what he was afraid of…
"This man is Mr. Aaron Boreal, he worked under your dad at NAZA." Hope explained, confirming what Geo was afraid of.
Aaron smiled slightly, tipping the front of his hat. "Howdy!" he said, trying to sound as cheerful as possible given the circumstances.
"Hey." Geo answered tonelessly, causing Aaron to wince to himself. That was not exactly the best way to begin a conversation…
"I… really owe your dad one from when I worked at NAZA." Aaron went on. "He was one brave man, your father. Oh, yes, I quit NAZA a while back, and now work at my own lab just outside of town, researching the Earth, space and the stars. If you want, you're welcome to drop by, um…" he found himself at a loss for words, staring awkwardly at the young boy, who had been doing nothing but looking at him in a depressed mood.
Luckily, Hope tried to shake her son out of his funk. "Come on, Geo, don't be rude. Introduce yourself." She said.
"Oh… um… Okay…" Geo started to say. "My name is Geo Stelar… and I'm 11 years old…"
"Nice to meet you, Geo Stelar!" Aaron answered, before reaching into one of the inner pockets of his jacket. "Oh, and before I forget, I brought you a present! This is a very special pair of glasses, it's a called a Visualizer. I heard your father used it in his work, but I don't know much else beyond that. I found it when I quit NAZA, and I thought I'd give it to you."
With that, Aaron handed Geo a strange pair of futuristic-looking glasses, which looked like some sort of green visor, and Geo looked at them for a moment, his previous depressed expression substituted by one of slight wonder.
"So this was dad's…" he murmured, before placing the Visualizer on his head so that it could easily be lippe on his eyes if needed. "Thanks…"
"Are you heading to your usual spot?" asked Hope, hoping that her son was doing alright at this very moment and had a feeling that he would be heading to the place where he usually goes to in order to get his mind cleared. "Geo, sweetie..."
"Yeah" answered Geo, giving a slight nod to his mom. "It's gonna be clear out tonight, so I'll be able to see the stars really well."
It wasn't for long before Hope noticed that there was something off and she gave another concerned frown on her face. "Geo, your Transer isn't on" she told him, while she was a bit stern... she isn't one to worry too much and become one of those overprotective parents.
"Oh" he replied, quickly turning the Transer on and remedied the problem right away and it made Hope give another sigh when it came to reminding her child of these kind of things ever since what happened to his father.
"Honestly, why must I always remind you to your Transer on?" she asked him, then decided not to press too much on that since she's certain he will remember next time so she wouldn't have to do this again. "Now check your Battle Cards, your brothers..."
"Who cares?" asked Geo, having a somewhat darkened espression on his face but his head was lowered enough so his mother and Aaron wouldn't see it though he tightened both his hands into fists. "I don't have any brothers, so no one is going to see my personal page anyway..."
"... What are you talking about?" wondered Hope, again having a bad feeling when it came to the topic at hand but there was always a reason for keeping the Transfer on at all times. "If your Transer isn't on, no one can see your ID info either."
"Okay, I get it" began Geo, raising his head enough so that he could show his mom and Aaron that he fully-understood by what the former was trying to tell him. "I'm going now, mom. Be back in a bit."
Without another word, Geo walked out towards the door so he could go to the place that he and Hope know about. "He's always like that" said Hope, feeling a bit sad to see how Geo had been acting these days."I wish he could develp a few BrotherBand relationships with some friends."
Nodding his head, Aaron couldn't blame either Geo nor Hope then turned his attention towards the young woman in question. "By the way, where's Geo heading off to?" he asked her, hoping to find out about the place that the female Stelar had mentioned not too long ago.
"Vista Point, just behind the school... He goes there every day around dusk and just stares up at the sky" she answered, not even turning to glance at Aaron while revealing the exact place that Geo had been going to ever since he lost his father, she was finding herself slowly forming tears in her eyes right now. "He thinks he'll see his dad... Ever since that day, time has come to a stop, for us anyway. I know we show move on, but... it's so hard to."
Aaron remained completely silent, having never known how much Geo's father meant to both her and Geo himself, wishing he could try and comfort her in any way he could.
Outside the Stelar household, Geo stopped as an acoustic signal came from Geo's Visualizer, and he took a look at it. "Looks like I got some mail…" he said hesitatingly. "I'll take a look at it later…"
He began walking towards the usual place where he used to go whenever he felt troubled and needed to be by himself to reflect. The young boy walked through the town, casting a few distracted glances around and noticing the people around him. They all seemed to be so happy, focusing only on living their lives and going their way… and Geo found himself envying them. He wished he could be so carefree and have fun like they were doing. And yet, Geo felt that, ever since his father's unfortunate demise, his childhood and his innocence had come to an abrupt end.
With a wistful sigh, the boy continued walking through the streets, holding his hand to the brand new Visualizer Aaron had given him. Somehow, holding that made him feel like he was somehow closer to his father… Geo stopped in front of a large bridge, looking at the flight of stairs that brought up to Vista Point. The sun was already setting, bathing the small town in the light of a spring dusk, and Geo began walking towards his usual place… at least, until he was caught off guard by a voice coming from behind himself!
"You there! Wait!" A female voice, belonging to a girl around his age, called out to him, and Geo turned to his left to see a pretty girl with long blonde hair done in a pair of spiraling ponytails that resembled bunny ears, wearing an elegant bluish uniform with thigh-high light blue boots streaked with white spirals. Along with her were a pair of boys, both of them around Geo's age as well, even though they were markedly different from each other: one of them was large, buff and fat, and was wearing a brown sleeveless body dress that turned yellow on his chest and stomach, as well as a pair of brown shoes and an orange melme from which fringes of his dark green hair emerged; the other was a scrawny kid with a mop of brown hair and thick looking glasses, wearing a white-green school uniform with a yellow necktie, green pants and reddish-brown shoes over white socks.
"You're the one, aren't you? The boy who never comes to school…" the blonde girl said in a somewhat bossy manner. "I am Luna Platz of Echo Elementary, Class 5-A, which makes me your Class President! The big guy behind me is Bud Bison, and the short one is Zack Temple."
Geo simply looked at the trio without saying anything, and the big guy named Bud seemed not to appreciate that. "Hey, jerk!" he said in a rough voice, stepping forward, but never stepping before Luna. "Don't just stand there! Say something!"
"The Prez is waiting for a response!" the scrawny guy named Zack continued in his high-pitched voice.
Geo stood in silence for some time longer, before sighing and looking at them indifferently. "What do you want?" he asked.
"Nothing." Luna answered. "But it's my job as Class President to see that all of my classmates come to school. I hate it when things are not perfect, so having one person missing is unforgivable!"
Geo shook his head. "Sorry, but I've got nothing to do with you."
"Hey! You can't say that to the Prez!" Bud exclaimed angrily, jumping up and down behind Luna, as Zack did the same thing in outrage.
"How dare you! The Prez is telling you to go to school! Don't look down on us just because you're taller!"
Luna sighed and turned to her two self-appointed bodyguards, raising a hand in order to tell them to stay put. "That will be enough, Bud and Zack." She said, causing the two of them to immediately stop and bow their heads in deference. "In any case, TK, I expert to see you at school tomorrow."
Geo stared at the three of them in silence, and then turned away and began climbing the stairs that brought to Vista Point, leaving Luna and her bodyguards behind. Luna tried to follow, but stopped as soon as she saw that Geo was already halfway up the stairs, and that they weren't going to catch up.
"TK Dragon… Something tells me he won't be showing up." Luna said to herself, getting a little worried. "If only we had some way to open him up… Hmm… Today's BrotherBand lesson was…" she paused for a moment to gather her thoughts, and smiled slightly as an idea came upon her. "Yes… That may come in handy… Come on, you two! Let's get going!"
"Yes, Prez!" Bud and Zack answered readily, following Luna as she walked away, following the same way she had come from.
High upon Vista Point, Geo was staring dejectedly at the place where Luna, Bud and Zack were standing, sighing in annoyance. It's not that he didn't appreciate Luna's efforts, but he really didn't feel like he could go to school, not with how he was feeling.
"School, huh…" Geo murmured to himself, before a loud beeping signal came from his Transer. "Mail? I wonder who it's from?"
Getting a little curious about the mail, he looked at his Transer's screen… and groaned in annoyance when he saw that it was a message from Luna. "Ugh. It's a message from the "Prez"." He said, putting emphasis on the last word in a sarcastic way. Thinking that he might as well see what that was all about, he set himself to take a look at it. "Hi, TK. It's your Class President, Luna Platz. I didn't like you attitude, but I can forgive you if you come to school! We have some BrotherBand homework today. I've attached a new version of the BrotherBand program we use in class, so make sure you do your homework! Oh, and one more thing… COME TO SCHOOL!"
"NOW INITIALIZING PERSONAL PAGE EDITOR..." began the Transer, starting the installation process for the personal page editor for Geo, who silently waited patiently for the update to be finished... luckily it didn't take too long.
"Okay, looks like we're all set" came another message from Luna, which got Geo's attention as there was more to it that he needed to know. "Now we're going to use this program and do your homework! So pay close attention, okay? This is the Brother Screen on your Transer. It shows you info about your Brothers, you can access this screen by selecting "BROTHER" on the Menu."
Geo didn't say a word, though it was starting to make sense to him and it was then that the message continued upon noticing something wasn't right. "... Ah! You don't have a single Brother! I can't explain anything like this!" she explained with a serious expression on her face when she saw that Geo doesn't have any brothers on his Transer and she sighed. "Alright, I'll tell you what. Just for now, I'll be your Brother. You'd better be thankful!"
With that said, Luna became Geo's first brother in his entire Transer and he wasn't sure what to make of it though he needed to at least try and make friends like his mother suggested. "Here we go, now you and I are Brothers!" said the class president, having managed to resolve the issue that Geo's Transer had so now she can go on with her explanation. "... Actually, do you need me to explain BrotherBand to you?"
He was rather surprised by the fact that the blonde-haired young girl in question was offering to explain to him how the Transer's BrotherBand works however, he already knew how it works so he didn't need to learn how to use it. "I appreciate the offer Ms. President but I already know how it works, thank you for the offer though" he responded, giving her a brief nod so she can get to do her explanation.
"I understand... In that case, now I'm going to explain Personal Pages" she said, accepting his answer but needed to make sure he will listen to what she has to say as she's not going to repeat herself at all and then got ready to continue with explaining how the BrotherBand system works, the screen changing to the . "This is a Personal Page, you can see this by selecting your Brother's or your own icon from the Brother Screen. So a Personal Page is just that; it's where info about a person is displayed. You can see a Brother's info, and vice-versa."
"Now I'll explain things one at a time" she continued, Geo remaining silent as he made certain that he would hear so he wouldn't make any sort of mistake in the tutorial. "In the upper-left corner, a person's Name, Face Icon, and Level are shown. All of this has already been set so let's go on. The lower part shows your battle data!"
"My battle data? Not that there is any issue but it doesn't look like I'll be able to take a look at it with your image blocking" said the brown-haired young man, making Luna frown again when he said that. "No offence Madam President."
"Hmm? You can't see become I'm in your way?" she asked him, realizing that he had a good point since it would hinder her explanation on the BrotherBand System right now unless he could see what it looks like. "Alright, I'll leave for a second."
With that, her image briefly disappeared and Geo got to take a good glimpse of his Battle Data, frowning as he saw that he was still a level one and he examined the Power Up Data which contained the Battle Cards he currently owned right now, among his favorites were Cannon, Plasma Gun 1, Air-Spread, Heat Ball 1, Recover 10 and Barrier, he then took a look at his LK ABILITY which showed HP + 10 and M Class + 1 and his B. COMBO which had no data at all, figuring it was good enough moments before Luna's face reappeared on his screen. "Did you take a good look?" she asked, having given him enough time to examine his Personal Page thoroughly and properly. "Well, even if you didn't, I'm back so moving on! Favorite is where the 6 cards you set as your favorites are displayed. Favorite Battle Cards can be used by Brothers so you should set only your strongest cards!"
"Thanks for the warning" responded Geo, while gesturing for Luna to continue one as he acknowledged the caution she gave him so to speak.
"Let's see... Best Combo... I don't actually know much about that... But we don't need it right now anyway" she commented, while she is well known and very popular at her school, there are things she doesn't know alot on right now so it would be best not to show it too much since it wasn't an important topic. "Link Abilities are powers you and your Brothers give to each other as a boost! So are you okay up to this point?"
Geo gave no verbal reply, instead silently nodding his head to confirm he understood what she was explaining to him and kept a stern expression on his face as well. "Lastly, let's look at the upper-right!" she spoke again, this time gesturing to the upper-right part of his Transer's Personal Page, needing his attention for what she's about to tell him. "Do you see the "MES" and "SECR" buttons? "MES" stands for message and its where you can leave a note for your Brothers. You can write about what you did recently, brag, or whatever you'd like! You can edit it any time, so for now, just hurry up and write a self-intro!"
"Alright then, I'll see what I can come up with..." said Geo, he was somewhat stumped on what he could say especially as he needed to come up with a goood self-intro that could catch the eye of the class President then proceeded in writing the message. "Let's hope she approves of it."
Upon sending Luna the Self-Intro about himself, her image returned and she read what it said while checking to make sure he understood the explanation. "So your Self-Intro is "Hello from Geo" huh? Looks pretty good" she commented then proceeded with the next part of the lecture. "Okay, next is "SERC"! "SERC" is where you write your secret messages! Secrets you can't tell a stranger, you can tell your Brothers! When you become Brothers with someone, they can see your secret. So be honest!"
"I understand..." he replied again, not showing any kind of emotion to her but never the less, he didn't want her to mistake him for an unfeeling robot right now. "I'll try to be careful with the secret messages."
"Good, you can change your secret at any time, so for now, just write about something!" she said before giving him the chance to write his secret message to her and he thought about what he will write for his secret message then decided on what it will be.
"Here goes nothing..." he whispered to himself, sending the secret message to Luna and secretly hoped it would meet her expectations, then again she is trying to make sure that he knew how to use the Transer's new BrotherBand System properly. "Did it make it to you without any issues?"
"Yes it did..." she responded, reading his secret message which said "Please to see you" and then spoke again with a smile on her face. "Okay! Congratulations on creating your Personal Page! If you have a Brother, you'll always be connected, no matter where or when! It's neat!... Ahem, so hurry up! Make some Brothers! Oh... One more thing, if you have Real friends and you want to form a BrotherBand bond with them, you can only become Real Brothers with 3 people at first but... If one day, you achieve something great, the number of Brothers you can have will grow! Real Brothers can change their info day by day, so it's good to trade your own info through the Menu Screen's "On Air" section, okay? If both of you are On Air at the same time, something even better will happen, I hear."
"Alright, thank you" said the brown-haired young man, while surprised by the fact that Luna lectured him on how the BrotherBand System works, at least he now a a general idea on how to use it without much of a fuss. "I really do appreciate the gesture Madam President."
"Don't mention it, hmmm... that concludes your BrotherBand homework! Now all you have to do is make some Brothers... Go On Air... Trade Data... and come to school!" replied the blonde-haired girl, figuring that Geo now knows enough of the BrotherBand system to make effect use of the program. "Oh and one last thing...COME TO SCHOOL! Got it?! I'll see you at school, then!"
"Fine…" Geo sighed, hoping she would finally lay off with trying to play school mom. As the conversation ended, Geo closed it off and walked towards the end of Vista Point, the same place he used to go whenever he wanted to think on his own. In those three years after his father's death, that place had become almost like a second home to him… The stars had just begun to twinkle as Geo turned his eyes to the heavens, staring at the constellations and talking to his father as if he could actually hear him. "Dad, Cassiopeia is so bright tonight… Oh, and today, this friend of yours named Mr. Boreal came to our house. And he gave me your Visualizer… It's got some kind of special lens, and it feels like it has a special power, but what can I see with it? If I use it, will I be able to see you?"
The boy hesitated for a moment… and then lowered his Visualizer on his eyes covering them with the light green lenses. He stood in silence for several moments… but nothing happened, and Geo slowly shook his head, criticizing himself for being so naive. "Oh, who am I kidding…? Dad, where are you? I miss you so much… Dad…" he murmured, a tear sliding down his face. He quickly wiped his eyes… and just then, a beeping sound caught his attention, causing him to jump up and look around in confusion, the Visualizer still on his eyes. He had recognized that sound, and he was starting to fear he would never hear it again… "What? This… this is Dad's access signal! It's getting closer and closer…"
A beam of white Energy rained down from the starry sky, and entered Geo's body, charging him with an unknown power and causing him to scream in panic! "Aaaaaargh!" he shouted as the energy coursed through his veins. As the Energy got more and more intense, Geo saw a white light engulfing everything, and he was able to hear a strange electronic voice speaking in his head…
"So… this is Earth…"
The burning sensation stopped as quickly as it came about, and Geo shook his head as he tried to shake off the cobwebs. Slowly, he opened his eyes to check if everything was in place…
And remained stunned by what he saw.
While the scenario around him had remained the same, he was able to see what looked like roads and platforms of colored light hanging in the starry sky above, glowing with a bright, unnatural luminescence and forming an impressive if disquieting network of bright lines over himself. It was the most unreal thing he had ever seen in his life, to the point where he stood frozen in place for several seconds, not noticing the strange creature who had appeared only a few feet away from him…
Only when he turned in that direction he was able to see it, and he screamed once again in fear and surprise as the strange being backed away some. It looked like some sort of spirit made of cracking green energy, which formed an array of spikes on its back, and also made up its arm and the long scythe-like claws it had for fingers. The lower half of its body had no legs, and simply ended in a wispy trail of Energy, while the rest of its body was made in what looked like a series of blue plates of armor, and looked somewhat like a wolf, with shining red eyes and jaws lined with short, pointed teeth, as well as a pair of wings of sorts sprouting from its back, and a large shield-shaped breastplate on its chest. It was staring intently at Geo, who seemed not to have a clue of what to do, or even what that thing was in the first place…
"Wh… Wh… What…" Geo stammered, trying and failing to ask a question.
"You can see me?" the wolf-like creature grunted in slight confusion, narrowing its red eyes. "That's funny… Humans aren't supposed to be able to see energy beings like me."
"Are… are you a monster?" Geo asked in fear, his back to the edge of the terrace. "And… and… why are there those roads in the sky? That's not the Milky Way, that's for sure! Am I dreaming?"
In a moment of fear, he impulsively raised his Visualizer above his head… and all of a sudden, the wolf-like monster and the luminous roads and platforms above his head disappeared, as if they had never been there in the first place! "It… disappeared?" Geo asked himself, looking around in confusion for a while. Wanting to understand what was going on, the young boy placed his Visualizer on his eyes once again… and both the shining pathways and the wolf-like creature reappeared in front of him. "Ah! It's back?"
"Hmm… now I get it…" the strange thing commented. "You can see my EM body with those glasses of yours."
"But… But I couldn't see anything just a few moments ago!" Geo tried to argue, not understanding why the Visualizer didn't do anything before, while now it was allowing him to see those strange things…
The wolf-like creature shrugged. "Hmph. I must have activated some hidden power of those glasses when I zapped them." It commented.
"Wh… What?" Geo stammered again.
"Hey! Didn't anyone tell you not to gawk? Though I guess I can't blame you, kid." The monster answered. "My name is Omega-Xis… but humans get it all wrong, so you can just call me "Mega". I am from Planet FM, so I guess I am what you humans calla n alien. But to me, you guys are the real aliens. Normally, you humans can't see my EM body, which is made of electromagnetic waves… but somehow, I guess with those glasses, you can see the Wave World. That road you see in the sky is actually a part of the Wave World – a Wave Road. You got all that, Geo Stelar?"
Geo frowned a little. "How… how do you know my name?" he asked.
Omega-Xis seemed to stop and think about it for a moment. "I heard it from a human I met in space." He answered nonchalantly. But to Geo, that answer was far more valuable than the strange energy being realized. Was Omega-Xis actually talking about… his father?
"That human… Could it be…?" Geo murmured, before turning to Omega-Xis and frantically looking at him straight in the eyes. "Was it my dad? Dad… where is he right now?"
Omega-Xis frowned, taken off guard by the question… but before he could answer, a small-scale earthquake hit, shaking the terrace Geo was standing on and causing the boy to yelp in surprise. Omega-Xis growled in anger, raising his eyes to the Wave Road above. "Tch… they're here already?" he snarled.
"They are here?" A surprised Geo asked. "Who's here?"
"The creeps who are after me, that's who, kid!" Mega answered harshly. A few lines of green Energy zapped past them through the air and converged on something Geo did not remember being there before… an old-school vapor train, in whose chimney the beams of green light were being absorbed.
Remaining silent, Geo kept his Visualizer on so he can better investigate what the hell is going on just now. "What the?!" he exclaimed, taking a more thorough look at the train that appeared from out of nowhere since normally this kind of train wouldn't be around anymore let alone it not being on railroad tracks. "That train's not supposed to be able to move!"
Nodding his head, Mega had to agree with Geo on that remark but that wasn't all he needed to tell the young man since he knows what brought the train to their location. "EM viruses from Planet FM..." he told the boy with a serious expression on his face. "They're going to destroy the town with that."
"What?!" asked Geo in complete shock at what Mega was telling him just now, more so trying to process everything that he was learning. "If they did that, it'd be a disaster! Plus mom's still at home!"
"There's only one way to stop that train" answered Mega, hoping that Geo would be willing enough to go through with what the alien is about to tell him as it could risk his safety. "Go into it and delete those EM viruses!"
"Delete those viruses? But how?" wondered Geo, even if he knew how to do so... there is no way he could since he would need some kind of anti-virus program or such in order to complete the task, though it was not what Mega had in mind.
"Like THIS!" responded Mega, turning into a green sphere and went into Geo's Transer much to the shock of the young boy before he could even react to what was happening, then wondered what was going on though he would hear the alien's voice from the Transer's system. "Now listen up, kid. You wanna stop that train, you do what I say. Got it? You humans have those Card Force things, right?"
"Yeah."
"Take out one of your blank cards" instructed Mega, wanting to make sure that Geo would be able to do so if he wants to save his town from destruction and while the brown-haired young boy was a bit hesitate at first, he had no choice but to comply.
"Uh... um, okay..." without another word, he managed to find a blank card that Mega wanted him to search for and was fortunate that it didn't take too long either since time is of the essence right now.
"Okay, here we go" began the mysterious alien as Geo's eyes widened in surprise as the blank card started to glow in a bright green light which matched the energy that Mega had from before which left the boy in awe as to what was going on.
"No way..." he spoke, almost at a complete loss of words at the card he was holding in his hand as he was mentally wondering if it was some kind of dream, yet what he was seeing proved to be anything but that. "The card's glowing. What's he doing?"
"I'm powering up the card with my energy" explained Mega from within the Transer but he would have to explain more some other time, if they survive this whole ordeal. "Look, we don't have much time! Next, we've gotta find a wavehole!"
"A wavehole?" Geo wondered what exactly Mega was talking about, especially since he never seen what a wavehole looked like in his entire life let alone what it was capable of doing but it wasn't for long till Mega began to tell him what this wavehole was.
"It's where a chunk of space has been warped into a whirlpool shape!" he quickly responded, as he will need Geo to have his complete attention and listen carefully since he won't repeat himself in this situation. "I bet you can see them with those glasses"
Geo wasn't sure he could handle this information but never the less, he had to comply as his town was at risk. "Space that's been warped into a whirlpool?" He whispered to himself and used his visualizer to search for the nearest wavehole, looking at the right of him and then started to look to the left, finally finding one that had just opened and from what he could tell it was an orange whirlpool that formed. "Hey, I see one!"
He immediately made his way towards the wavehole and needed to be careful not to accidentally get sucked into it as he examined the whirlpool like rift more closely. "You don't need to wear your Visualizer for this next part but..." Mega began to speak up again, then wanted to see if it will help stop those viruses right there and then. "swipe the card I made when you're at a wavehole. You do know how to swipe a card, right?"
"Yes, of course!" Geo replied to Mega, still having the card that the alien infused with his own energy for the boy and wondered what this has to do with the wavehole that they were near, deciding against asking right now.
"Yeah, when you swipe the card... you've gotta yell: EM Wave Change! Geo Stelar, On The Air!"
"Uh... Okay..." said Geo, slowly nodding his head and got ready to swipe the alien empowered card in his hand into the Transer but mentally asked himself if he was crazy for letting an alien tell him what to do right now.
"Oh, and I guess I should tell you, kid, you'll need to have your Visualizer on" explained Mega, letting the boy know in advance that once they go through with it, there can be no turning back but there was another reason for this suggestion. "That way, you can see the Wave World. Now put those glasses to good use! Let's move!"
Geo wasn't going to argue with Mega and had his Visualizer on before jumping down the end of the Vista Point to where the Wavehole was, it's now or never since he had to have the glasses on in order to better see this Wave World. "Alright then, here goes nothing..." he said to himself, having the card in his hand raised then got ready to slide it into the Transer. "EM Wave Change! Geo Stelar, On The Air!"
With that said, he swiped the card into his Transer, causing him and Mega to be engulfed into a bright green light from within the wavehole as Geo found himself starting to change as the two fused together into one being. As soon as he managed to open his eyes again, Geo looked at himself in absolute awe… he hadn't changed out of his cloche, and yet now he was wearing a very tight-fitting dark blue bodysuit, with light blue shoulder pads, arm guards and knee-high boots, as well as a dark blue helmet with a magenta-tinted visor over his eyes, and a strange gun shake like the head of a wolf was mounted on his left arm, complete with the glowing red eyes that were the trademark of Omega-Xis. A golden three-pointed icon was emblazoned upon his chest, and he had silver spikes on both sides of his head, slanting backwards as to make him look more fierce, and his hair was now combed upwards at the back of his head, forming a strange sort of crest on top of his head. But that was not the whole extent of the transformation: now Geo felt incredible… a feeling of power and confidence he didn't even remember having ever felt before, as if he could do anything and take on any opponent!
As he reappeared on top of a pink circular platform suspended in midair, Geo looked at himself, marveling at the new found power he was now wielding… and then looked around himself, finding himself in the midst of the myriad lights and colors of the Wave Road. Stunned into silence for few moments, the young boy couldn't say one word.
"Where… are we?" he finally asked, as soon as he had regained enough of his wits to speak. "AAAH! And what is with this setup? And my hands…! Why am I looking like a freaking Power Ranger?"
"Hey, kid! Quit screaming like a little girl!" Omega-Xis' telepathic voice grumbled inside of his head. "You don't remember? This is the Wave World! You fused with me, so now you're in wave form."
"Fused?" Geo asked, still looking at himself in disbelief. "You… you mean that you and me… just became one? And I'm a… wave thingy now? You've got to be polling my legs here! Change me back right now!"
He could almost feel Omega-Xis shaking his head. "No can do, kid. You can't start getting cold feet now, as I need your power to stop those EM viruses." He answered.
"But… But I don't have any powers!" Geo tried to protest.
Omega-Xis sighed in annoyance. This was going to be a long night… "Look, it's a bit complicated… but for some reason, I am nota s powerful on this planet as I would be on Planet FM, so I need to fuse with someone from here." He explained. "When we are fused like this and you take on wave form, it's called Pulse In, and you Pulse Out to go back to the real world. But don't you try pulsing out right now!"
"Wait… wait… I think I get it now!" Geo continued, thinking he had more or less understood the situation. "So, basically, when we… pulse in, like you said, I become one with you and I can use your powers? So… so that means…"
Geo could imagine a bloodthirsty grin forming on Omega-Xis' face. "You got that right, kid! WE are going to kick some EM virus butt! So take this road to the train, enter its Comp Space, and fight those EM viruses! Are you ready, kid?"
"Ready? You're asking ME if I'm ready?" an exasperated Geo protested. "I can't fight! I don't even know how to fight!"
"Oh, quit your whining!" Omega-Xis answered with an annoyed grunt. "Like it or not, it's the only way you can stop that locomotive! Don't worry, I'll teach you how to fight. Just get inside that train's Comp Space first! Get as close as you can to the locomotive, and then touch it. You'll fly in automatically, since we're now made of EM Waves. Now… cut the chit-chat and go!"
Geo gulped in fear, as despite the power he felt coursing through his veins, he had no idea how to fight or even what an EM Virus was or could do… but in the end, he realized that, like it or not, it was still the only way he had to get out of that mess alive! "O-Okay… fine… I'll try!" he finally murmured as he took his first step upon the road made of solid light and tried to get close to the oddly-placed locomotive…
As he began his journey within the within the Wave World, Geo thought he would try and use the path that would bring him to the locomotive in question. This is ridiculous, how the hell am I suppose to deal with these EM Viruses if I don't know how to delete them like this? He thought to himself, mentally wishing it was some kind of dream since he saw some weird looking robot-like creatures but there wasn't enough time to speak to one of them since he couldn't afford any distractions.
"Okay, that I don't have any comment on..." he said, seeing that one of the creatures resembles a truck with two eyes and the back look like it had orange and white stripes. The fact that it looked like it was going to chase after the thing that came close to it gave him a bit of the creep, then again strange stuff has been happening right now that he is asked by an alien to assist him with and him alone to boot... Luckily, he didn't have to take long as he managed to reach where the Locomotive was located. "Well, this is as close as I can get, so now what?"
"Isn't it obvious? Our body is made of a bunch of wave... If there's a Comp Space that is receptive to EM waves, then we can go into it" he heard Mega's voice getting his attention and made the boy wonder what he was talking about. "You see that wavehole above the train?"
"Yeah..." responded Geo, taking notice to the wavehole that he has just started to see from where the smoke-stack is and questioned himself as to what it meant.
"If it's flashing, that means the Comp Space will accept outside EM Waves" explained the alien from within which made Geo swallow hard, however he decided there wasn't any other choice left right now as Mega continued. "Looks like this train accepts EM Waves! Time to hop on board!"
"Hop?" asked Geo, unfortunately there was no time to argue with Mega right now as with a somewhat nervous expression, he jumped into the air and went through the wavehole on the locomotive's smoke-stack, causing him to be pulled into to him seems to be a bright white light which normally signifies if someone was dying. "Waaaaaaah!"
"Always remember this kid: This is how we FM-ians jump into Comp Spaces!" Mega's voice was heard once more, as if he was trying to get Geo used to this right now and while it was still the boy's first time, he needed to make sure the boy will be ready. "Okay, almost there!"
It felt like an eternity but it wasn't that long to be exact as Geo started waking up, finding himself within the Locomotive's Comp Space then got onto his feet to better examine the area. "Where are we?" he asked Mega, the alien in question knew more about this than he does.
"This is the locomotive's Comp Space, in other words... we're inside the train's comp" answered the alien with a serious expression on his face, he was not here to show Geo around the area as they still had work to do at the moment. "Those EM Viruses have gotta be around here, so let's find them and give it to them good!"
"EM viruses..." again, Geo wasn't too keen on the idea of fighting something he has no knowledge of doing in his current state least of all the fact he didn't know what these EM viruses looked like other than what they were capable of. Then again, he bore witness to a small group of viruses right in front of him then made his way towards the center of the Comp Space in order to be certain that he was on the right trail then stopped right before the green path as three Metools were together in middle of a large orange square path, expelling waves of purple rings from the top of their hard-hats. "There they are... *gulp*"
"You want me to beat them?" he asked Mega, needing to be sure that it would be a simple task of deleting these viruses now that he was aware of what they look like. "I think you're going to do the beating here..."
"I told you I'm gonna teach you to fight!" the alien lashed out at Geo, wanting the boy to toughen up and try to stand up to the viruses since they would cause further harm the longer they do nothing to stop it "And you have to or you aren't going home! So put up or shut up!"
"O… Okay, so… I've got my Battle Cards here…" Geo murmured, taking a look at his selection. He could see that he had relatively simple Battle Cards, such as Cannon or AirSpread. "So… do I select which Battle Cards I want to use, and then use them to delete these viruses?"
"Precisely. Just make sure you don't waste your shots, okay?" Omega-Xis warned. "Now, be on your guard! Here they come!"
A Metool, a simple virus that looked like some sort of small creature with big eyes and short legs wearing an hardhat, produced a small pickaxe from apparently thin air and jumped at the Geo and Omega-Xis fusion, trying to hit them on its way down! Geo yelped in surprise and, acting on instinct alone, managed to roll out of harm's way, causing the virus to hit nothing but the ground. Taking advantage of the moment as the virus tried to regain its footing, Geo selected his Cannon Battle Card and loaded it, firing a powerful blast of energy from his arm turned into a cannon of sorts! The blast struck the small virus head-on, and the Metool froze for a split second before disintegrating in a shower of shards of light!
"I… We… we did it?" Geo asked in surprise, as he couldn't imagine being able to hold his own so well against such opponents. "We… we actually did it! I… can't believe this!"
"Heads up, kid! You still have two of them to deal with!" Omega-Xis warned him as two more Metools charged forward, trying to attack them. "Now listen carefully, kid: try to use an attack that hits more opponents at the same time! You AirSpread Battle Card should do. Combine it with your Attack +10 Card for maximum effect!"
"Er… this one?" Geo asked, looking at his next two Battle Cards. One of the Metools advanced towards him, and the young boy wasted no time in using both Battle Cards, before firing a blast of energy that struck one of the Metools and spread outwards in a series of small explosions, hitting the other virus as well! There were a series of smaller explosions all around, and both Metools were deleted by the force of the blast… but more of the strange hardhat wearing viruses popped up, surrounding Geo! Trying not to get caught in the midst of his enemies, Geo loaded a Sword Battle Card, and dashed towards the closest enemy, a sword of brilliant energy sprouting from his wrist as he slashed the Metool in half, causing it to dissolve into nothingness! The young boy stepped back, trying to face all of his opponents at the same time, and tried to recover his breath. As he was not used to fighting like this, he realized he was getting tired quite quickly.
"Hey, kid! You might want to pay attention… to your left!" Omega-Xis snarled as he saw a Metool raising his pickaxe and striking the ground with it! A burst of energy exploded from the place where the virus had struck, and quickly raced towards Geo, who reacted just in time and moved away, but still felt the heat from the shockwave on his arm! Two more Metools jumped at him with their weapons drawn, and Geo was barely able to get out of the way in time!
"Ugh… this is getting dangerous!" Omega-Xis murmured. "Not to put pressure on you or anything, kid, but you might want to be careful here! Since we're fused together now, if one of us dies, the other does as well!"
"This… is exactly what I was afraid of…" Geo answered through grit teeth, trying to get away from the Metools and think of another way to attack them. "Doesn't help that you haven't had one nice thing to say to me ever since this damn mess got started!"
"Hmph, your old man sure wasn't a wuss like you!" commented Mega, which further proved to make Geo really made at the alien than ever while needing to be careful as this was a real life or death situation for him.
It didn't take long for Geo to think about what his next move will be and needed to make sure it will count but not before speaking with Mega again. "…. If I beat those viruses, you'll tell me about my dad right?" he asked, needing confirmation that the alien he was fused with will even keep his word once they've won.
"…. Heh, I'll think about it."
"That doesn't help…" muttered the brown-haired young man, before attempting to take on the viruses as he prepared which Battle Cards he will use next as it wouldn't make things easier for him if he attempted to use them recklessly. "This is becoming more difficult than I thought."
"Save your whining for afterwards!" lashed Mega, not in the mood right now and from what he could tell, the viruses where just about to prepare for another attack on them with those pickaxes they were carrying. "Just do exactly what I tell you and fight! Let's go!"
Geo silently nodded his head, knowing he had no choice but to comply despite the fact that he was slowly starting to get the hang of it, this was still new to him. "One last thing you need to know is countering and bonus cards" he heard Mega explaining the last part of the training in fighting against enemy EM Viruses in the Wave World so he needed to make sure that Geo is listening to this part very carefully.
"Um, how about one at a time please?" asked Geo, needing to keep himself from being too overwhelmed in this multitasking conflict that was going on and it was going to hinder what he had planned to beat the viruses from what he already learned. "First, what's countering?"
"Countering is when one of your card attacks hits an enemy at the exact moment it's launching an attack at you" Mega sighed and carefully answered Geo's question as thoroughly as he could while getting straight to the point as well. "Your attack will stun them for a while."
"Sounds a little hard, but I get countering now" said the young man, starting to understand how countering works as it could help him take those viruses out though first thing was first, as Mega decided to tell him there was more to it than just what he mentioned.
"Ah, but you don't only stun the enemy when you counter. You also get one Bonus Card." Mega explained. "You know how normally you can only use the cards you have on your Custom Screen? Well, when you counter, you get a random Bonus Card, and you don't have to wait for the Custom Screen to reload. Countering is a little hard though, so don't push your luck trying to get one."
"I see…" Geo answered. "I think I get the hang of it now." With that, Geo waited for one of the Metools to raise its pickaxe, and quickly pulled a Cannon Battle Card to strike it just as it was about to attack! The counter worked, deleting the virus on impact, and bringing up a Sword Battle Card on Geo's Custom Screen, which he quickly loaded to slash apart a couple of Metools that were trying to take advantage of his distraction! The hardhat-wearing viruses were deleted in a shower of data, and Geo heaved a sigh of relief as the other viruses fled, seeking shelter in a more remote part of the Wave World. In a few seconds, the platform Geo was standing on was clear, and he looked around in surprise, almost not daring to believe he had actually done it…
"We… did it?" he asked tentatively.
"You did better than I expected, kid." Mega's gruff voice praised him. "You've caught my interest. Think I'll hang around for a little bit longer! How you like that?"
"Okay… you can stay in my Transfer for a bit, just… please tell me about my dad…" Geo answered, hoping he would get some answers at last.
Omega-Xis nodded. "Glad we agree on something, partner." He growled. "Now, let's put the train back to where it was and call it a day. I'm sure the days to come will be very interesting indeed!"
"This… isn't exactly the word I was looking for…" Geo murmured in resignation, before he noticed a small problem with what Mega was asking for. "Er… by the way, how exactly do we get this train back to where it was?"
"Kid, get a clue." Omega-Xis answered. Geo could almost picture him rolling his eyes in exasperation. "We're inside its Wave World now. We can controls its movements like the viruses were doing. Just concentrate on moving the train, and you're golden."
"Well, excuse me if us humans can't exactly wrap our heads around the concept of concentrating to make objects move…" Geo murmured sarcastically. He still decided to try, and closed his eyes, thinking hard about the train getting back into its original position… and soon enough, he could feel the train starting to move on its own, much to his amazement! Slowly but surely, the train shuffled towards its destination, only stopping when Geo recognized that it was back in place.
"Well, that wasn't so hard, was it?" Omega-Xis commented with a satisfied shrug. "Not bad, kid. You've definitely got potential. As for what concerns your dad… okay, you have a deal. You'll allow me to stay in your Transfer, and I, in turn, will tell you all you want to know."
"That… is satisfying for me." Geo answered, feeling relieved that this madness was finally over, at least for now. "Though… I'd like to get out of here and back to the real world now."
"Nothing easier than that. You get out the same way you got in. You're an energy being of sorts right now, after all." Mega answered. "And whenever you think you might need me… just give me a holler!"
"Fine…" Geo answered, starting to concentrate to return to the real world. As he disappeared from the train's Wave World, he got the uneasy feeling that this wasn't going to be as easy as Mega was making it sound like. But at that point, he had a lead on what had really happened to his father, and he was willing to take it.
"Okay then… I guess I'll do it, at least as long as it gets me somewhere." He said to himself. "I won't be the next Lan Hikari, but heck, it's not like I'm doing it because I like it. I just hope everything turns up alright…"
A/Ns: Here is the start of this new story, anyway I hope you enjoy it and I know you're all wondering why exactly I am doing a Star Force saga while I am still doing a saga for the Battle Network series? There is a real good explanation for it but I don't want to spoil any surprises for now so you'll find out sooner or later. Enjoy and see you soon with the next chapter.
