-I am sorry, but I only have TEXT files...I hope they will be okay. Slight Sorato, with a little bit of Sora OOCness. Actually, I don't think it's OOC at all; I think that Sora's bitter, but that's me. Anyway, on with the fic!-

DISCLAIMER: I don't own digimon, because if I did, I wouldn't spend my life writing stories about it. Instead, I would be lying in MILLIONS OF DOLLARS. e.n;

Danger.

I have always had some sort of craving to be in danger. To have death breathing down my neck was a fantasy I had dreamt about many a day. After I had returned home from the little adventure I had shared with the other Digidestined, I was not afraid of anything. Not that I thought being scared was wimpy, it's just I had never come to close to anything that really frightened me. I had conquered the Digiworld; I hadn't any reason to be frightened any more.

So I guess that's why I stood there, at the highest point of a cliff, letting my feet dangle over the side without a care in the world. I smiled as I picked up a rock and hurled it down toward the river that framed the bottom of the canyon. I had no idea why I had done it, because I knew I would never be able to hear it hit.

I wondered breifly what would happen if I fell over the side. I was always thinking like this. What would happen if things took a turn for the worst. It was a sick game I played with myself when no one was around me. It entertained me in some odd way, and I felt a stange sense of peace. I never did quite figure out why.

Isolated in my head from the world around me, I didn't notice someone approaching me from the back. Their footsteps awakened me from my world, and I frowned in dissapointment of having to leave. "What do you want?" I muttered carelessly to the person who was standing pointedly behind me.

"I see you haven't changed."

I recognized the voice immeadiatley and cringed. "Sora..." I sighed softly to myself before turning to her, "Well, you couldn't change me, and no one else has ever tried."

She nodded, knowing quite well what I was talking about. "Yes, I suppose that your childlike behavior turned them all away."

I stayed cool; she knew I would. She always knew. I couldn't blow up, so I tossed my head back and gave a sarcastic laugh. "My childlike behavior? Your the one who ran into Taichi's arms when I wouldn't give you your way every single time."

Her eyes narrowed, and I gave her a smile. I knew her ego couldn't take a blow without caving in. She was going to leave soon, now that I had insulted her. "Yeah, well, I wouldn't have had to if you had just given in once in awhile."

I motioned toward the ring that was on the finger of her right hand. "Looks like some good came out of us breaking up, anyway. Your engaged to Taichi, right?"

"Yeah," she said, looking away from me. A trace of boredom was playing on her features, "but you won't be invited to the wedding."

I shrugged. "I wasn't expecting to be."

She turned, and I found myself staring at her back mindlessly. It grew a few sizes small as she began to walk away before I called out to her. "Hey Sora!" I stood and jogged to her side.

Annoyance sounding in her voice, she retorted, "What, Yamato?"

Then, without thinking, I leaned over and pecked her on the lips. "Sorry."

I walked back to the cliff, and I knew she was still standing there, watching me with my feet dangling over the side. She came to my side slowly, almost as if she were afraid of me, then sat down.

"It's on June 22, you know."

I glanced over at her, cocking an eyebrow. "What is?"

"The wedding. Can you come?"

I smiled. "Sure."

-Kinda abrupt, but I like it. Anyway, good luck with the rest of the contest, and please R&R the rest of you peoples! -
