"POOOKIE!"
Maureen's voice filled the loft. Mark opened his bedroom door to see his girlfriend standing by the door with her hands on her hips.
"Yes Maureen?" He said.
"Pookie, I have to talk to you about something very important..." She said seriously.
"Is everything okay?" He asked in a concerned tone.
"I'm perfectly fine. But, Umm, you need to know something."
He looked at her, confused.
"You see, about a month ago I walked into a Dunkin Donuts..."
Flashback!
Maureen entered the Dunkin Donuts expecting to skip over to the register and order a coffee coolatta. Instead she ended up bumping right into another woman. "I'm sorry." The woman said. Maureen examined her. She was about her height, She had dark skin, and she was very pretty.
"No, No, No, I'm sorry. I'm such a big klutz." Maureen said as they both laughed. After that, Maureen bounced over to the counter and ordered what she wanted.
She eventually decided that she wasn't in the mood for a coffee coolatta and she decided to get a strawberry one instead.
Once she was done paying she noticed that the girl she bumped into before was sitting alone typing away on a laptop. She thought it would be a good idea to sit with her so she wouldn't be lonely...
"Hello again!" Maureen said. "Do you mind if I sit here?" She asked.
"No, I don't mind." replied the woman.
"I'm Maureen." Maureen held out her hand across the table. "Maureen Johnson."
"I'm Joanne Jefferson." Joanne shook Maureen's hand and gave her a smile. "It's nice to meet you."
"You too." Maureen said with a giggle.
The two girls ended up talking for over an hour about some random things that came to mind. And soon they became friends. But after a while they became a little more than 'just friends'...
End Flashback!
"So..." Mark said still not getting it.
"So, Mark...I'm, I...uh...I think I'm in love with her..." Maureen said as she bit her bottom lip.
"Wait...Are you breaking up with me, for a girl?
"Yeah...Mark, look. I'm really sorry but I can't hold in my true feelings." Maureen said.
"I can't believe this..."
"I'm sorry but, that's life, pookie."She stated.
"Whatever you say, Maureen." Mark said coldly before grabbing his camera and leaving the loft.
"He'll get over it."
