Takes place during the Big Ben fight, Ratigan's disappearance, Flavershams' reunion and the lady mouse's arrival.

The night a peg legged bat named Fidget was thrown in the Thames River, he thought he was going to drown, but managed to pull himself free above the surface to shore, which wasn't muddy. He coughed to regain consciousness and hyperventilating through it all until he gained enough ability to speak.

Before Fidget spoke, he looked back to see his former boss, Professor Ratigan descending in the Thames, a great distant away from him. Unlike Fidget, however, Ratigan disappeared for good and didn't make it out alive. Well, that's the end of him, Fidget thought. Still facing the water, where the rat apparently drowned, he turned away, twisting his wet scarf and hat just to wrench the water out.

Feeling very tired, Fidget yawned. All that swimming made him exhausted. "What a night," he said to himself and he slowly staggered over to Ratigan's hideout.

Once there, Fidget took a warm shower and when he finished he got dressed and burned Ratigan's house because no one was going to live there anymore and he needed heat. Incredibly drowsy, Fidget yawned, closed his eyes and dozed off, wrapping his blanket around him. This time, no one bothered to wake him up for he would've been grumpy if someone did and he was too tired to feel and hear anything.

The next morning, Fidget woke up to a brand-new start, hoping that everything will go better for him. Nothing can stop him now. He felt very much relieved after a good night's sleep. All he needed to do was go over and apologize to the queen, the Flavershams, and the detectives, Basil of Baker Street and Dr. Dawson. They were hesitant at first, but eventually, they suddenly began to realize that he captured them all by force from Ratigan's orders and it Fidget wasn't to blame. Never had Fidget been so overjoyed.

The End

Author's note: The comparison between Ratigan and Fidget when they fell in the Thames River is that Fidget survived the fall after being tossed in, while Ratigan on the other hand, drowned because there comes a valuable saying along the lines of "the bigger they are, the harder they fall." Not to mention, I learned from my experience while watching The Fox and the Hound, where both the bear and Tod tumble down, but the hero, Tod lives and the bear dies.
