Like a light scare on a dark sun he comes to us giving us hope and meaning to the world. Freeing us from our invisible oppressor, and shielding us from our fears. Acting as the darkness once did we smothered out the light. As he falls into darkness weighted down by our hope. Oblivious we rejoice for our freedom, he cries out as we laugh, for darkness never vanishes and it's never alone. Darkness always has a friend, for heroes carry the darkness, keeping it from the world. Falling into their past victories, the fall swallowed by the darkness he falls.
For that is a hero's life.
