"If only you had said yes, Chloe, it would be you by my side and not Lana. (if only twisted dreams could come true)"

"My god, Lex. How many times do I have to say no? Would you finally take that for an answer if I said it in a few different languages?"

His hands reach out for me, wanting to tangle me up in his web, the one that is sticky and dangerous.

He tried to trap me in it, pull me in and keep me there forever, and when he couldn't Lana was the next on the long list of his, one I hope to never make it on to.

(which Lois has been crossed off of a few hundred times)

"Don't you dare touch me, Lex. it's your wedding day, and because Lana is my best friend I didn't tell her about this but if you don't get the hell away from me I will."

The threat of losing to Clark, after he had worked so hard to take the one thing he loved away from him (with a smile of course), made his hands, which would have taken hold of me whether I liked it or not, finally retreat.

"You'll come to see my side soon, Chloe, count on that."

His side was filled with the demons that he can't fight anymore, the ones that made him turn away from everything and every one, and the demons that now want me.

They made his eyes wander from the one his lips said they loved (with that wicked smile of his) and fall on me while mine only glare back with nothing but boiling hate.

Every single day I curse these powers of mine, no one should play god and I'm doing just that, because these glowing fingers of mine (along with the tears of suck) brought back this devil before me.

"I should have let you die."

As yet again he corners me, hands, fingers, every damn part of him reaching out for me (while mine yearned to slap them away), a married man but yet his eyes are still locked on me rather then his blushing bride.

"You don't mean that Chloe, I know that."

Before he could grab the side of my heads, fingers filled with greed for something he can never have, and take that kiss he had wanted for so long but I wouldn't let him have, my knight in shining armor yet again saved the day.

"Don't you touch her."

I knew right from the start, when he first through Lex around like a rag doll (no complaints from my lips), that it was never for me, it was because of the anger over losing to him that fueled it all.

(losing the girl to the villain of the story and he wasn't about to lose his best friend)

Clark pushed away those greedy little fingers of his, that one day uninvited they would finally get what they wanted, for a short time before it was time to speed off and save the world yet again.

"I see you still have your protector, the big damn hero, but he won't be here for long, Chloe. Who do you think he'd want to save first, you or Lana? One day he'll be gone and you'll be mine, one day."

Each word, filled with want for the one and only girl who doesn't want him back and venom for the hero he could never be, rings true but they didn't make me give up they made me fight even more.

(and I would fight this evil son of a bitch till my last breath, but I would never win)

"In your dreams, Luthor, in your dreams and no where else."
