Disclaimer: Although the severely warped and twisted imagination is my own, Shaman King and its characters are the property of Hiroyuki Takei.

Author's Notes: What with exposure to the final chapter of the manga and subsequent bonus materials I have been encouraged to write a little something dealing with Hana. Considering what I have in mind this is likely to be amusing.

Reunion Night

The legendary elemental warriors certainly hadn't lived up to Hana's expectations. He had thought they would have been at least a little more heroic instead of a bunch of lazy slackers with a penchant for too much alcohol who needed to get chewed out by his mom. He would have seen fit to complain about it more, but then there was a knock on the door. Weren't all of his dad's friends already accounted for? Who could possibly be turning up now? Seeing as all the so-called grown-ups were busy being lectured by his mother it seemed that Hana had no choice but to be the one to answer it. He would certainly have more to say about it later.

So, Hana swung the door open. He paused, stared, did a double-take, and promptly slammed it shut again. He bolted back to the other room.

"Dad!" Hana had to shout to get everyone's attention. "There's a strange man outside who looks just like you!"

Yoh sobered almost immediately and took off running. He was followed by Lyserg. Ren and Horohoro went after them and Chocolove brought up the rear. Hana was more than a little surprised by the sudden sobering effect this seemed to have on all of them, let alone how quickly they'd all managed to leave the room. Manta was in no hurry to attempt standing up, let alone to attempt to leave the room. And it seemed like Anna wanted nothing to do with whatever was going on outside.

Hao, who had been listening from outside, raised an eyebrow at his reception by Hana. Truthfully, he found the whole thing to be rather amusing. Yoh and his friends certainly caught on quickly.

"I didn't know you were coming to visit too," Yoh was certainly enthusiastic about his arrival. Hao suspected that his being accompanied by Matamune might have contributed to that.

Horohoro, never really one for being tactful, scrutinized Hao for a moment before moving closer to prod him experimentally in the chest.

"Aren't you a little too corporeal to be a ghost?" he demanded.

"Who said I was a ghost?" Hao was trying not to laugh.

Ren took the liberty of whacking Horohoro in the back of the head, "You dolt. He's the Shaman King. He can do what he wants."

Hana looked on in confusion. He was having a hard time making sense of what had just transpired out there. Then they went and invited him inside! Wait, the Shaman King? Didn't they say he was still inside the Great Spirit? Then what was he doing at the house?

"That's a nice kid you've got there," Hao was addressing Yoh. He gave Hana a meaningful glance that made his nephew flinch before adding, "He still needs some work though."
