Hello everyone. I have decided to make another new story, but with a difference. This will be my attempt at a serious fic! It's my first one and I hope you like it. It will of course be Zelda because that's what I feel like writing at the moment.

I've always thought that Zelda should have a bigger part in the games so I'm gonna write a story where she does.

Disclaimer: I don't own Zelda so keep the lawyers away!

It was a normal summer day on the battlefield where a fight had broken out just last night. Luckily this battle was not as horrible as many of the recent ones had been with only a few minor wounds. The whole group of enemies had been subdued, although it was a minor victory, it was a glimmer of hope to the people if Hyrule.

This war against the minions of Ganondorf had been devastating to Hyrule and all of its inhabitants have been intensely uneasy. Last time they had a run in with Ganondorf the world had almost been destroyed. Nobody was more distraught than Princess Zelda.

She had maybe the worst experience from Ganondorf except maybe for Link. To be torn away from her Mother and Father, her home, her entire life to go into hiding. It wasn't all bad though; she got to go to new places and meet new people, and even got to learn magic to protect herself.

At least she knew all about what would happen before it happened. A few days before she had to leave, she stopped being herself. She wouldn't talk to anyone. And she hardly came out of her room.

No one knew how she felt. It was like she was empty inside. She couldn't take her mind off of it. Nothing was fun or entertaining. It was always looming in front of her. She was going to be torn from everything she loved and was the only one who knew it!

"All of this could have been prevented if her Father had listened to her! She had a dream that told that something bad would happen. But no! Ganondorf must be a good person!" she thought angrily, "My dreams are always right! But instead of listening, you let him in and make me make Link go on a long dangerous journey and plunge Hyrule into an age of torment!"

"I must look at the good" she said to herself. But that wasn't enough to make her happy. A deep hatred for Ganondorf that she had never known before burned fiercely within her. She wanted to cause him pain like she herself had felt. How could she help her kingdom? "

Every day Zelda could be seen at the gravesites of all of the fallen soldiers or at the current camp area. She knew how it felt to be constantly fighting. Link had told her of his travels and battles. He had stopped coming around lately. Zelda supposed he was helping the army or clearing some temples to weaken Ganondorf's forces. The temples in Hyrule are innumerable. And new ones are built all the time so Link will be gone for a long time.

"It must be tough" she thought. "But at least they help. I think I should do more. But what can do? I know! I can teach the armies magic. That will help a lot in battle. After that I'll have to find Link and help him somehow."

Well I know that it's short but that's all I can do right now. I think I have writers block. And I don't think I am an author, I'm just a writer. I think that authors publish their stories. This Idea came from L-gurl who is usually right about this kind of things.
