Meaningful Words

"Hermione, could you give us a moment?" Molly asked, slipping into her only daughter's childhood bedroom. Ginny stood in the middle of the room, looking beautiful in a muggle style wedding dress, her hair pulled up on her head, a few soft ringlets framing her face.

Hermione, who was straightening the veil Ginny was wearing nodded, resting a hand on her Sister-In-Law's shoulder for a second before leaving the room.

Molly sat on the edge of Ginny's old bed, patting it softly for her daughter to take a seat.

"You know, I've dreamed of this day since the very night you were born," Molly began, tears already forming in her eyes as she saw her daughter grow from a young adult into a lady right before her. "And I always dreamed that I would have an amazing phrase to pass onto you, something deep and meaningful, but I don't. The only thing I have to tell you, to pass on to you in the hopes you will pass it on yourself to your own daughter one day, is that no matter where you go, and no matter how many years pass, you will always be my little girl, and I love you."

A tear slipped from soft brown eyes as Ginny leaned in to hug her mother. "I'm scared," she admitted in a soft whisper.

"You have no need to be scared. Harry is a good man, and he'll treat you wonderfully. If there's one thing I've never needed to question, it is that. You look... you look stunning, darling. He's a very lucky man to be marrying such a wonderful woman as you."

"Thank you mum. For everything. I love you."

"As I love you. Now, let's go and meet your father, and give him a real reason to cry, hmm. He's been weepy all morning, though of course, it's 'allergies.'"

Ginny laughed as her mother led her from the room, to meet her father, to meet her future, to meet her destiny.
