The Breach
As the Gipsy fell through the breach, into Kaiju territory, the various creatures living there began to panic. Their many eyes widened, watching as the Gipsy counted down to its explosion.
Moments before the giant mech exploded, small, egg-like pods were shot off. They soared into the breach and into the Pacific ocean, propelled upwards by the nuclear explosion.
These pods held the original idea for what their scouts were suppose to look like(unlike the obvious, destructive monsters that they used instead). They were much smaller and looked human, though they were far from normal.
One of the larger pods surfaced in the middle of the Pacific, bobbing wildly in the rough waves. The thin exoskeleton was torn from the inside-out, releasing a guy who looked to be in his 30s. A glowing, green design decorated his lower back a it made the water around him illuminate a pale green color. His skin was tan and his jet black hair was soaked instantly.
He treaded water and looked around the vast ocean that surrounded him. He let himself sink underwater as a thin antennae sprouted out of a thin slit in his head, a green orb of light attached to the end of it. His neck opened up and extra skin lifted up to reveal gills and tiny fins. He spread his webbed hands and feet and began to swim deeper.
He weaved through floating garbage and debris and swam along the ocean floor. He observed the remains of fallen Jaegers, each broken beyond repair. He stopped for a moment and looked around-wondering just how many Jaegers there still were compared to the ones rotting in the sea.
One of many pods that had been released washed up on shore that night. The being inside convulsed and ripped itself free from the exoskeleton, releasing the clear goo it had been feeding off of. The being looked to be a girl, about 18 years of age. She let out a high-pitched roar and began scratching wildly at the exoskeleton covering her legs.
Once she was free, she quickly calmed. She walked along the beach, her long tail leaving a trail in the sand. She fidgeted wildly, observing the world she had only seen through other Kaiju's eyes. Her secondary arms crossed and uncrossed every few seconds while her primary arms hung limply at her sides.
Decorating her shoulder and half her arm was a bright red design, shining a dim light on the area around her. A long antennae sprouted from the center of her head, reaching down to her mid-back. There was a small orb on the end of it that flickered on and off with her signature red light.
Hong Kong was still completely wrecked from the previous attacked, but things had calmed down quite a bit. The girl stopped and peeked from behind a corner, staring at the people recovering from the attack. After observing the people, she looked at her reflection in a buildings window.
She realized she needed to blend in more. She tensed up completely and held her breath as her extra arms and tail retracted into her body. With one quick twitch, her antenna did the same. She shook the last of the goo off of her and retrieved clothing from one of many dead bodies in the area.
She cooed softly to herself, noting the destruction from the fight that she had witnessed through the now dead Kaiju's memories.
I've reached the city. Now awaiting orders.
