"I'm worthless without her" Pearl though as sleep laid on the ground of the strawberry battlefield, grasping roses sword which is placed firmly it. "Now that Rose is gone , and Steven is married what use is their for a pearl like me?" Streams of tears start to fall down pearls face. Pearl loved Steven very much, but nothing could fill the void in her heart that was Rose. Pearl finally musters up the strength to get up and head back to the temple.
Once back at the temple Pearl heads up to what used to be Stevens room before he moved out and crawled into bed. Pearl pulls the covers over his head and just lays there for several hours. Amethyst walked up to check on her, After all she has been really depressed since Since Steven moved out. "Hey p, me and Garnet are going to head out on a mission, do you wanna come?" Amethyst asked in a hushed tone. "No thanks, I'd rather just lay here" Pearl replied without even pulling her head out from underneath the covers. " Ok, just wanted to make sure" Amethyst replied, she walked down the stairs and entered the heart of the temple where Garnet was taking a catalog of all the things they have bubbled. "Geez, I'm really worried about Pearl, She hasn't gotten over Rose and now that Steven has moved out shes really down." Amethyst said in a worried tone in her voice. "Me to" Garnet replied. "Maybe If i talk to Steven and get him to talk to her she'll perk up." Amethyst though. Amethyst gets ready and heads to Stevens house located near Connie's parents home.
Amethyst walks up to the the doors and rings the doorbell. Connie answers the door. "Ow hey Amethyst, whats up?" "I came to Steven, I need to talk to him about something." Amethyst replied. "Is every thing ok?" Connie replied. "Pearls been really depressed lately, I thought Steven might be able to help". Connie invites Amethyst in and fetches Steven who is in the other room. "Hey Amethyst, sorry i haven't been over in a few weeks, iv been busy getting my life together since Connie and i moved in together." Steven said upon seeing Amethyst. "Is now a good time? Pearls been really down and I thought maybe you could help?" Steven looked at Connie as he was busy helping her fix up their new home, Connie just looked at Steven and nodded. "Sure, Pearl is like a mom to me, I don't want her to be depressed." Steven said. Amethyst and Steven Jumped onto lion and headed back to the temple.
Steven walked up to his former room where Pearl was laying. "Hey Pearl" Steven said with a smile on his face. Pearl quickly looked at Steven, Steven sat down by pearl and said "I'm sorry i haven't been around, I've been busy fixing up the house with Connie and getting our new life together set up in general. *Steven gives Pearl a hug* I still want to be a Crystal gem and spend time with you guys, Promise me you won't be depressed?". "I'm afraid It's not that easy Steven, For thousands of years i was dependent on Rose, Then she died but i had you. But now that my little boy's grown up" Pearls starts sobbing, "but i'll try for you Steven, I want to be there for you." "I want you to be there to Pearl." The two hug and Promise to always be there for each other.
