Societal Conventions

Antonio has always been wary of the rift in society and how upper class is so much different than lower class. After an accident involving a car and a rock, he is forced to become a slave to the upper class. While studying the ways of the rich, he meets a certain Italian, and his views of society may change.

I've never understood the difference between rich and poor. All I knew is that one had money and the other didn't. What obligated the rich to become condescending towards the poor? What let the upper class laugh at people with little money? How were they able to get away with it?

Actually when looking back upon my justification, I guess I just don't understand people at all. I preferred to stay alone, with only two friends. Gil and Francis. They were my best buds, and they shared the same views about the social rift in society as me.

Gil, Francis, and I were always together. Like Siamese twins. Glued together at the hip. We could never do something without each other; we shared everything with each other. We had no boundaries. We favored each other rather than someone else. But that all changed.

Highschool is already hectic. From being a pubescent children to mood swings to loads of homework and bitchy teachers. We also have to deal with the stress of our competitive sister school.

The Crown regiment schools have two counterparts. The Gold is for upper class. It's like a private school, owned by this Italian man or something. The Bronze is for middle class people, like me. Bronze is like a public school, except we have shitty teachers and horrible learning environments. The only reason you'd go to that place is to get mugged on purpose. I went to that school only so I could graduate and get the fuck out of this town. It's like it was built during medieval times. In the middle are the mansions and manors and on the outside are houses and shacks barely held together by nails and duct tape.

Someday I will show people that middle class can triumph over upper. Someday if I get a shit ton of money I will donate it to every single poor person I've met.

Someday I'll change society.
