Tenten and Neji came from Ino's birthday party. Neji asked Tenten if he could walk her home, because 'it's dark outside and it will be dangerous'. Tenten couldn't say no, for he already held her hand and dragged her towards Ino's front door.
While walking, awkward silence could be heard. Tenten was bugged by it, and Neji was freaking out—mentally, not knowing what will he do after he walked he home. Am I gonna kiss her or just leave and say goodbye?
After the agonizing and deafening silence during the walk, they arrived at Tenten's apartment.
"Thanks for walking me home, Neji." Tenten smiled brightly, eyes sparkling.
"Hn." Neji's blunt and famous reply was heard. Shoot, I promised my self not to say that word to Tenten!
Tenten was blushing madly, thinking what to do next. She heard Ino's voice at the back of her head, and she remembered the conversation of Ino, Sakura, Hinata and her about what to do after someone walks a girl home.
"If he walks you home, you better kiss him at your doorstep. More like of a goodnight kiss or a thank you kiss." Ino suggested.
"I will never kiss him! Maybe he'll avoid me for doing that or slap me." Tenten hissed.
"Just say thank you and kiss him, then disappear." Sakura said bluntly. She was getting Sasuke's attitude.
"Whatever."
"I totally agree with Sakura-chan." Hinata softly said.
"I'm going home now." Neji's voice interrupted her thought.
"Oh." Tenten mentally slapped herself.
"Bye." Tenten was doesn't know what to do, while Neji was thinking what to do next, if he will kiss her or just say good bye.
"Neji, wait!" Tenten briskly said, and walked towards him.
"Hn?"
"Thanks." Tenten kissed his left cheek, leaving a light pink lipstick mark, then fled to open and enter her apartment, shutting it quickly.
Did she just… Kissed me? Neji thought while subconsciously touching the kiss mark. When he felt the lipstick, Yeah, she kissed me. And he was smirking all the way home, because he realized that it was his first kiss.
When Tenten shut the door, all she did was utter a colorful string of vocabulary, telling herself she shouldn't have kissed him and fled the moment she pulled back her face. But after thinking that, all she thought was, it was my first kiss, after all.
When Tenten literally threw herself to her bed and Neji staring on his ceiling, all they could think is about each other before they drift to sleep, and meet each other at their dreamlands.
