The guards lead Beast Boy out into the arena and placed him in the middle, next they placed shackles on each of his limbs, one of the guards look back at Beast Boy before retreating "may god have mercy on you" his voice soft and full of pity "bite down on this" the guard fishes something out of his pocket and places it gently into Beast Boy's mouth.
The executioner walks out towards the middle of the arena his whip rolled up in his hand neatly tucked, he stretches it out and lashes it against the ground, dust sprays up and floats in a heavy cloud, he pulls it back and thrusts it forwards, cutting deep into Beast Boys flesh.
Beast Boy held his head high, his lower jaw shivering, you could see that he was trying hard too forget the pain, as each lash of the whip struck his back.
Raven, Robin, Cyborg, and Starfire shuttered in pain as they watched the whip crack against there small green friend, the speaker above the arena sparked to life "the first of 20 lashes has been passed 19 more" sounds of people crying could be heard all over the streets as every one watched as blood poured heavily out of Beast Boy's back, he gritted his teeth together, constantly giving off a small shriek of pain.
When the whipping had finally been finished the titans moved up to the front of the crowd, they climbed over the small fence and walked out on to the arena, Raven jogged to Beast Boy's side and quickly undid his restraints, Beast Boy weakly fell into her arms.
She rested his head on her shoulder as she rocked back and forth humming softly, she tried hard to cover the sound of her crying, "R...Rae" Raven closes her eyes and whips off a streak of tears "yes B" she presses her head against his and continues to rock "i'm sorr...ry" his voice softly vanishes and Raven is left there rocking back and forth holding tightly to her best friend "Ooh B please no."
