Zane's POV

Zane listened to Fargo tell him about how the other Zane and Jo had been. He told him all he could, leaving out as much as he could about the time traveling the five of them had done, and about the time line change. He felt that Zane needed to know that the other Zane had proposed to Jo, in case they didn't land the space pod safely back on Earth.

Zane took the news better than he thought he would. He suspected most of it anyway, but couldn't get it confirmed until now. He kind of knew there was another Zane and it might have had to something to do with an alternate universe or something. He also knew this wasn't the Jo Lupo he had learned to hate since coming to Eureka.

Zane was still slightly shocked that he'd asked Jo Lupo to marry him in another time line. Sure, he was attracted to her, and even asked her out just after arriving in Eureka. But the other Lupo shot him down right away. She had a cold heart, which is why they called her the Enforcer. This Jo was his Jo Jo, and that is how he would always think of her.

He was surprised by how much he really did care about her. He wanted to do everything to protect her, and her secret about the alternate universe. He promised Fargo that if they made it safely back to Eureka, he would keep their secret. And he would keep it, for her.

Zane also made a personal vow to himself. He would do everything he could to win Jo back. Well, he would win her over anyway. He never had her to win back. Maybe if he won her over, they could have a chance at something he had only ever dreamed about.

Zane hated feeling like someone had erased memories from him. It felt like he had been robbed of knowing what being loved by Jo was like. He wanted to be loved by her and to get the chance to love her back. He would get her to love him back.

Zane and Fargo worked well together getting the pod back to Eureka. Well, it was a team effort on Earth, too, with Henry, Grace, Carter, Allison, Andy, and Jo too. The first person he focused on when getting out of the pod was Jo. She was so beautiful and strong willed. He just wanted to take her in his arms and kiss her, but knew better than to do it at this moment.

Instead, Zane watched as she hugged Fargo. Then she was standing in front of him. He held his arms open and was surprised when she actually hugged him. He didn't even flinch when she told him not to touch her ass.

It felt so good to have Jo in his arms. It was like they fit together. They were meant to be together. He would have her back in his arms again, soon. It felt too good and was over too quick. She pulled out of his arms when he called her Jo Jo, and he cursed himself for spoiling the moment.

Zane would let her go this time, but she would soon be his again...or for the first time. It was so confusing. He would win her love, and he would love her like she was meant to be loved. He'd never been in love before, but he felt very strong feelings for her. He just wanted the chance to have what the other Zane had had with her. He vowed that he would soon have what the other Zane had with her. He could wait for her.
