A/N: I somehow got talked into writing a VD fic(read: got it into my head to write one when someone else mentioned it). I was originally going to do a Shokugeki no Soma one, but I haven't had much practice writing many of the characters and couldn't think of a plot, so a trade happened and I ended up back here. Fun.

Of course, lack of internet for a week straight means this is a WHOLE DAY LATE, but with my luck with holiday fics that's nothing new.

.

In the morning, Toudou was waiting for him at the school gate, arms crossed and tapping his foot impatiently.

He was tempted to ask what class the older boy was skipping and how he knew what time Manami would be there, before realizing it was aSaturday, and the fact would probably get thrown back in his face.

But he didn't let it bother him. He simply stepped off his bike and walked past the older boy with a smile and "Good morning!" because he knew too well what he was waiting for.

He didn't turn around when he heard footsteps behind him, but he knew the other climber was smiling.

"So, you know what day it is, right?" He heard Toudou say, next to him now. Manami made a show of tapping his chin and humming in thought.

"Saturday, right?" He said happily, noting the way Toudou's lips twitched down just slightly.

"Aaaand...?"

Manami stopped, crossed his arms - attempting to hold his bike up with his knee - and frowned, furrowing his brows deeply. He made a thoughtful sounds, then turned to his senior with a smile.

"Oh! It's-" His sentence cut off for a second at Toudou's hopeful smile. "-a half day! We don't have classes!"

He laughed at the high-pitched groan that came from Toudou, who buried his face in his hands, shaking his head.

"No!" He shouted, head snapping up and grabbing Manami by his shoulders. The younger boy had to supress a laugh at his desprate look. "Think carefu-"

"Ah!" Manami interrupted, and Toudou's eyes gleamed. "If it's a half day, then practice must have already started! We don't want to be late."

He smiled widely as he turned around - ignoring how hypocritical he sounded - heading towards the club room, tugging his bike along. After a few steps and a defeated sigh from his senior, he stopped.

"Oh, that's right." He slipped his bag off one shoulder, angling his arm to dig around inside, After a moment, he pulled out a small, decorated paper bag, holding it in front of Toudou. "Here you go."

The older boy looked up, then upon seeing the bag, his eyes widened and he smiled.

Honestly. It was like he wasn't getting more later.

A/N: I'm fucking half a sleep and can't write anymore. This is all I can handle at this time. Not to mention the terrible word count...
