The song is Don't Ever Let It End by Nickelback, I don't own it obviously.
"I'm tired of pretending
But I'm terrified of it ending."
Tex sang Don't Ever Let it End as she sat next to Thomas, playing another round of Halo 2 on her favorite map: Ivory Tower.
"...And I know you feel the same way
Because you told me drunk on your birthday."
Thomas smiled. Tex stopped when she saw Thomas looking at her, "What?"
"You sing so beautifully."
"Not like Chad Kroeger though."
"Even better than that person."
"I'm singing one of his songs."
"Yeah, I know."
"So you know Canadian music?"
"Yeah."
"Okay then."
"I love you Texas."
"I love you Thomas." She smiled, leaning into him as they continued their game. Thomas nuzzled Tex.
She smiled again as their game ended. "You win again."
"I always do."
Thomas pushed Tex onto her back and kissed her.
"Want to play a different game?"
"I got a game in mind. It's called 'Love Your Partner'."
"Me too."
Thomas smiled and hugged Tex, for once she wasn't wearing her signature jacket. Thomas didn't care, he loved Tex and it'd stay that way.
"I'm hungry. We should see what we've got."
Thomas put on his leather jacket. Tex got up to head to the kitchen. It had been dark in the room and when Tex went out into the hallway, she was momentarily blinded.
"Tex, are you alright?"
"Yeah. Just had to adjust to the light." Thomas swept Tex up into his arms. "I love you."
Thomas kissed Tex. "I love you too."
"Of course you do." Thomas smiled as Tex gripped his leather jacket. "Good thing you're coming with me."
"I love you so much."
She laughed. "Didn't you just say that?"
"Yeah, I did. And I want you to never forget it." Thomas kissed Tex as her grip on his jacket tightened. She could feel the leather heating up under her grip. Thomas smiled.
"Never let me go."
"I don't ever plan to let go of you." Thomas planted his lips on Tex's lips. She enjoyed every second they were together. Thomas and Tex stayed kissing.
"I love you so much."
"I love you too."
"I seriously need you to let me down though, I'm starving after all that gaming."
"Alright babe." Thomas placed Tex down.
"What do you want?"
"I'm not sure. What do you want?"
"Well the Doritos are on the fridge. I can't reach them." Thomas reached up and got the Doritos; a bag of original, and the hot and spicy type. "Thank you." She ran back to the room, waiting for him in the fading daylight.
Thomas returned to the room carrying two cases of beer.
