Some Birthday wish…
She throw her bag down on the ground, knocks off her shoes and look around the house, Brushing the white snow off her hair, she take her warm thick jacket off and immediately hang it on the right side of the door. She gasps, analysing the every corner of the house. The hall of the house is brightly lit up with neatly positioned candle, all lit up making a footpath all the way to the kitchen. She follows. One candle after another, then she stops. Taking a little folded card on the floor, she takes in and read it. Close your eyes to make this work. Don't ruin it for me, pleaseeee…She gives out a little chuckle then closes her eyes slowly. In another second, she can feel the footsteps against the vinyl ground and unexpectedly, she feels two sudden wide hands suddenly covering her eyes and the sound whispers so softly just against her ear.
"Come follow me…" He whispers just against her ear. The very sound that she now knows off by heart, the voice of what she has been waiting for all day long. Walking along with his slow steps, she can feel her heart beating faster, in anticipation of what is going on. After another slow steps, he finally stops. He takes his hand off her eyes and in another whisper he says "You can open your eyes now…"
She opens her eyes slowly and her heart jumps in surprise. The corners of the room, as she knows it, are still dimly lit with some of wonderful scent candles. However, the centre of the room, sat a table neatly tidied with its chinas and cutleries. The foods are sets on the centre, with some glass bottles with wine glasses sitting on its sides. She smiles. Two dinner chairs are on the other side of the table with both are covered with what seems to be golden linen wide cloth, shining along with the chandeliers just on top of the table, lighting the surrounding dinner table.
"I – umm…."
"Saengilchukhae!" He says again, still standing behind her, enjoying every minute of her amazement.
"When -?" she starts again, yet finding herself unable to find the words.
"This morning" He replies.
"You came back this morning?!!! Junsu…why didn't you tell me? I could've pick you up in the airport…!" she says now looking back at him. Yet he just smiles. Then he steps closer slowly and stops right in front of her, little inches away from her. Then he slowly reaches her and put his arms around her and let her head rests just below his chin.
"Well…If I called you in this morning…then this wouldn't happen, would it?" he asks and let a little grin then continues. "Happy birthday, baby. I wish you all the best this year. Any wish for this year?"
"What sort of wish?" she dumbly asks.
"Any wish…"
"Hmm…may be…doing better at work…?" she suggests another dumb answer. Then he laughs. He let his grip loosen and stares at her for a few seconds before suggesting a better answer.
"How about…more patience in waiting for me?" Junsu asks, and then hug her again as though he does not want to let go.
She listens to his heartbeat for a second and when the beats calms, she whispered answering.
"I'll wait for you no matter how long it takes, Junsu-shii…" and closes her eyes, listening to his heart beating faster like never before.
