Everyone knows that in order for magnets to attract, they have to be opposite.

A doesn't attract to A and B doesn't attract to B.

However, A attracts to B and B attracts to A.

Or, in this case, Tadashi attracts to GoGo and GoGo attracts to Tadashi.

She's a mechanical engineer. She makes things that are used for transportation. Things that get people/objects from point A to point B. She, specifically, makes them get there more rapid and quicker and faster. It's what she does, it's what makes her happy. It's her.

He's a robotic engineer. He makes things that help people. Things that have a code, wiring, and arms. Things that are all over the world, working in factories or farms or even in the office. He, specifically, makes things that aid and help and protect. It's what he does, it's what makes him happy. It's him.

Different, but also the same.

Both help people in some way.

Both make things go a little faster.

Both make things a little safer.

Both are the things that tie them together, their work.

But, however, just because their work is somewhat similar, does not mean they are.

Polite. Helper. Soft-hearted. Patient. Tadashi Hamada.

No-nonsense. Independent. Stubborn. Fast-paced. GoGo Tomago.

Opposites, if you will.

She likes going fast. Getting things done. Moving onto the next. Making progress.

He liked going slow. Taking his time. Checking things over. Going bit by bit.

Their ways of working we're completely different.

Absolutely nothing alike.

She prefers tablets and typing and everything electric. It's faster.

He prefers paper and pencils and everything old school. It's simple.

That's why she's making the old school bike, new school. Faster.

That why he's making the new school robot, old school. Simpler.

Letters or sticky notes or emails or messages didn't work very well.

She likes the night. Everything is quiet and she can think and type and work.

He likes the day. Everything is loud and he can talk and help and work.

They see each other everyday.

Same time.

Same place.

Same red cheeks.

They passed a few words, small talk, as much as they could get in.

She liked the few-worded, quick talks.

He liked long, more thoughtful conversations.

They didn't get very far by talking.

They worked with different things.

Their needed parts are usually nothing alike.

Except for magnets

Many things separated them.

Opposite things.

Fast and Slow

Electric and Old School

Night and Day

Talks and Conversations

They were opposites almost completely

Yet they were attracted to each other

Just like magnets
