The silver haired half-demon tossed and turned in his sleep, he was having another nightmare.

His raven-haired companion awoke to his reckless sleeping. "InuYasha… InuYasha?" The dark haired girl called.

InuYasha continued dreaming… In his dream, InuYasha transformed into a demon and was trying to fight the urge to attack his friends. InuYasha jumped out of bed. "Kagome, no!" He shouted. Kagome turned to him, "Are you okay, InuYasha?"

InuYasha looked at Kagome and relaxed a little bit. He was happy to see her and his friends safe. He reached out to her, and when she put a hand out, he took it and yanked her close. Kagome… He thought.

"InuYasha?" Kagome was slightly confused, but loved it when he held her in an embrace, "are you okay?" she asked again.

"Hm? Oh, yeah… I'm okay," He said hesitantly.

Kagome was worried. She had never seen InuYasha this worried before, even when they were facing Naraku.

"Kagome," he started for the door of the small grass hut, "I'm gonna go outside to clear my head…" She had a worried look on her face. What is wrong InuYasha? How can I help? Can I help? These were her thoughts as she watched him exit the house. Kagome went back to sleep.

In the morning Kagome woke early. InuYasha was still outside, in a tree, watching the sun rise. She walked over to the tree he was sitting in.

"Good morning, InuYasha," Kagome said enthusiastically.

"Oh, yes, good morning, Kagome," InuYasha said flatly.

"Do we need to talk about something, InuYasha? You know you can trust me," Kagome said.

"I know… It's just… Last night I had a nightmare that my demon form took over. I was trying so hard to control it…" tears started to well in his eyes, "but…. But…"

Kagome looked at him worried. He jumped down from the tree hugging her tightly.

"I couldn't control it! I almost killed you all!" He said, tears streaming down his face, "promise me you'd run if I showed any sign of violence against you or any of our friends." Kagome nodded, "I promise."

They kissed, then started walking back to the house, hand in hand, ready to start a new adventure.
