Summary: Jack goes to work and gets locked in his office during a blackout.
Disclaimer: I don't own Stargate SG-1.
Chapter 1
Jack O'Neill sat up in bed. He couldn't get to sleep and he thought he knew why.
'My notebook! It's in my desk. How could I have forgotten it?' Jack got out of bed and started getting dressed. It wasn't a secret, but not known, that Jack O'Neill was a sketcher. He had started around the end of his retirement, before going back to Abydos.
Strangely enough, it wasn't until the newly christened Cassie Frasier asked him what he was writing that the others knew about his little talent. Daniel had asked him numerous times to help with a difficult artifact since then.
Jack grabbed some toast that he had just made and hopped into the car.
When he had signed in, he headed to his office, noticing that almost no one was in the corridors. 'Well, why not? Still probably sleeping or not here yet. It is early,' he admitted to himself as he entered his office.
Sitting down, he remembered a report that he had been neglecting. Even though it was his down time, Jack decided to do the thing and get it over with, lest he wanted someone's wrath upon him.
Jack booted up his computer and started to type, but getting up to lock the door before really getting into it.
He didn't notice the weather on his way to the mountain, nor did he notice that strange click as he locked the door. Jack was intent on getting the report done, finding his notebook, and going home.

Over the course of an hour, a lot of personnel signed in, soon having to flip the page over to the other side. Jack's car was surrounded by other cars and no one noticed that Jack's door was locked, let alone closed.
Dr. Lee and some of his colleagues were proud of their new lock that they had installed on one of the closet doors, not realizing that the door they installed it on wasn't a closet door.
The weather had gone from threatening to rain to raining hard. It wasn't until three hours later that the rest of SG-1 and General Hammond arrived.
And no one realized that Jack was still on base, typing up a report.
