"Kagome?" Inuyasha said, sounding stunned and betrayed.
"What?" Kagome asked.
"That was a virgin eating demon." Inuyasha said. "And, it just sniffed you and ran off..."
"Oh come on!" Kagome snapped.
"What?" Inuyasha asked, sounding as if he feared the answer.
"That time I played doctor in the bushes behind the school with Hojo when we were five so doesn't count!" Kagome said, sounding irritated.
The confrontation that looked to be brewing if Inuyasha's rising anger was any indication was cut off at the pass by a loud scream.
"What is it Sango?" Kagome asked when she and Inuyasha came to their companion's aid.
"The virgin eating demon just ate Miroku!" Sango cried.
