Ayako Nakamori: New Girl At The DWMA? –Chapter 1 -

Part 1:

"I hate this. It isn't fair. Why must Anna always assume she knows what's best for me?" Groaned Ayako, sitting in the passenger seat of her cousin's car. She had dreaded this day for weeks now. The day she would become a student at Lord Death's academy. The DWMA.

Anna looked to her sour-faced cousin and smiled. "Come on, Ayako. You have to be more social. Besides, you will end up having fun. Maybe you'll become a Death scythe!" Just thinking about it made Anna proud.

Ayako rolled her eyes at her cousin's words. "That's YOUR dream…Not mine." She sighed. "Besides…what meister would want me? My old one left a while ago, and he was the best I could find." Her eyes revealed a hint of sadness as she thought back to something in her past.

"Don't you worry. You will find a meister in no time. A sweet girl like yourself." Anna assured as she placed a hand on Ayako's leg.

Ayako looked out the window as Anna drove through Death city was very busy, tons of people crowded the sidewalks, watching two drunkards fight outside of Chupacabra's and he sounds of car horns and swear words blasted out from the road around them. There was never a dull day in the streets of Death City. No sir. In fact, Ayako hated her home because of how much crime she's seen. The gangs, the muggers, the random douchebags who knock into you on the sidewalks without a single "excuse me miss". It was all too sickening to her. How she always maintained her calm deminor was a mystery to Anna. Especially since she was aggitated easily as a child.

"Damn…that sun always freaks me out when I see it…" Ayako thought aloud, gazing up at the freakish smiling sun that casted it's light over the city. "Are we almost there?"

"The DWMA is thirty minutes away from where we live, Ayako. Just be patient." Anna replied, her eyes on the road.

After half an hour of driving across Death City, the cousins had finally reached the Academy. Anna looked to Ayako once more and smiled lightly. "When I agreed to be your gaurdien, I also dreaded this day. You're a great young woman, Ayako, and I will miss you back at home. Just stay safe and be careful. Okay?" Ayako looked at her with a small pout and obediently nodded. "Okay." Almost instantly, Ayako hugged her elder cousin tightly, not wanting to leave the comfort of her arms. Eventually, she let go, and got out of the car, walking up the steps of the massive school.

Part 2:

As she ascended the vast staircase, Ayako's heart pounded. She wasn't used to actually having to socialize with other teens. Especially since she knew none of them. Her eyes fixed to the floor, she reached the top and began to walk towards the doors of the main building.

"YAHOOOOO!" Yelled an anonymous voice.

Ayako stopped dead in her tracks and looked up from being startled. "W-Who said that?"

"I DID!" A boy with blue, spiked up hair flailed his arms to gain her attention, standing atop a spike that protruded from the large building.

After a few minutes of frantically looking around, Ayako finally looked up to see the boy who was waving at her.* "O-Oh…H-Hello there! " *She called timidly, confused as to why he was standing on such a high platform.

"HEY! I BET YOU WANNA KNOW WHO I AM, HUH!? EVERYONE DOES!" He flexed his muscles and flashed a cocky smile, " I'M THE MIGHTY BLACK STAR! THE GREATEST MEISTER TO EVER LIVE! I WILL SURPASS GOD!" he then jumped off, landing a few feet from Ayako, landing in a crouching position.

"Wow…heh…I'm Ayako Nakamori…A typical weapon..." She said, walking over to him. "It's very nice to meet you…"

Black Star grinned widely, grabbing the new girl's hand and shaking it vigorously. "IT'S NICE TO MEET YOU TOO, AYAKO! WELCOME TO THE DWMA!"

"This kid is CRAZY! A-And I suddenly feel like I'm gonna puke!" Ayako thought, the shaking making her almost nausious.
