Why had this been so hard? She couldnt make up her mind about him. She broke it off with him after the mission was done, she didnt want him to get his hopes high. Stupid Hiccup, why was he so damn cute? Though he was annoying at times, Hiccup was probably the only person in the world that made her heart feel the way it did right now. It was beating fast whenever she was around him, and it melted whenever he gave her a shy smile.
"Astrid?" A voice asked her. She spun around on her heel, only to see the said boy standing in front of her. Oh wow, she thought. Hiccup's gorgeus chocolate hair was blowing in the wind, ruffling it up. Freckles were splattered on his face, and his mouth was filled with white teeth.
He's probably the only viking boy i know that keeps his teeth clean, she thought. She herself had been trying to keep her own mouth clean. And it was working out.
"Oh, umm..... hey Hiccup." She responded stuttering.
"You ok?" He asked her. She nodded. Damn! Why did I stutter? She mentally kicked herself.
"Look so, i was thinking we catch up with the rest of the group, do some training? May-" He was quickly cut off by Astrid crashing her lips with his. His eyes were wide with surprise, but didnt stop the kiss. Finally they broke apart.
"What was that for?" He asked.
""For being the insanley cute and annoying boy that you are." She responded. He raised an eyebrow at her.
"What?" She asked.
"Oh really?" He was amused.
"Dont make me hit you." She teased. He rolled his eyes.
"So how about it? Training?" He asked her again. Astrid nodded. Hiccup took his her hand in his and walked her to the dragon take-off station.
"Hey guys," Hiccup greeted the other members of his training group.
"Oh, hey Hiccup. Hi Astrid......" Snotlout trailed off as he saw Hiccup and Astrid holding hands.
"Oh, oops." Astrid giggled. She slipped her hand from Hiccups and made her way to her dragon.
"Hey Nagendra, how's mommies favorite dragon going?" Astrid cooed as she patted the back of her dragon. It panted in response.
Astrid climbed onto the back of Nagendra. The others followed. They took off the ground quickly.
"Come on Toothless," Hiccup climbed onto Toothless and they took off like a bullet.
They all tried different commands with the dragons, twists and sharp turns, tricks and dives.
After hours of pracitce, they all came down. Except for Hiccup.
They all watched as he jumped off of Toothless, flipped in the air a couple of times, and land back on Toothless, who was now on the ground. Hiccup landed on him without any problems.
"Once again, you're crazy!" Ruffnut said in Hiccups face. "Once again, I like that." She whispered. But not low enough so Astrid couldnt hear.
"Back off, Ruff." Astrid pushed Ruffnut back away from Hiccup. Ruffnut growled and then turned away to nuggie her brother, Tuffnut.
"We have to go." Astrid told her friends as she grabbed hold off Hiccups hand again.
"Ooh..getting busy are we?" Tuffnut taunted at the slapped him in the back off the head.
