Scream
"You were shot." Calliope Torres stood up slowly, feeling her heart beating quickly inside of her chest. Her hands were shaking, and so were her legs. Nothing was on the dark beauties mind except getting Mr. Clark to leave, and to protect the little girl and Arizona, even if it meant getting hurt herself. Callie put her hands up in the air, showing the man that she wasn't going to try anything. She took her steps carefully, until she was standing between the two girls and the shooter. "I'm going to give you these bandages, okay?" She commanded her left arm to reach out and pick up the two white gauze bandages. "Put pressure on the wound, to stop the bleeding.."
There was silence for a few moments, and then Callie watched as Mr. Clark held his hand out, the gun in it. Biting her bottom lip, feeling herself grow more and more nervous, she placed the two white squares into his hand, on top of the black piece of metal.
"Thank you." The practically bald man winked, and he began backing out of the room. Callie let out a breath and turned back to Arizona who had tears down her face. Immediately, she stopped in her tracks, hearing the sound of a gunshot from behind her. The brunette's eyes caught as red liquid began making it's way down the blonde's stomach. Within another second, Callie felt a sharp pain in the back of her head, and then it all went black..
"NO!" Torres screamed, bolting upright in her bed, her whole body covered in sweat. Her chest was heaving, and she was having a hard time breathing. Breathe, it was only a dream, she thought to herself, trying to take deep breath's. Looking around, Callie realized where she was; Arizona's apartment. That's right. The shooting had happened the night before, and she had been too afraid to stay at her apartment which was right across the street from the hospital.
Feeling Arizona move next to her in the bed, she laid back down, bringing her hands up to her mouth, biting on her nails; Something she hadn't done in years. "Arizona.." Callie whispered, her voice shaking. She could feel the tears forming in her eyes. The brunette just wanted to hold onto her girlfriend and forget about that horrible day.
The blonde opened her eyes, knowing that something was wrong. She sat up a little and moved closer to Callie. "What's the matter? Are you okay?" Arizona cupped her face in her hands and gently pressed her body against the brunette's, knowing that it would comfort her.
"I had a dream that Clark shot you, after I gave him the bandages...It was so real." Callie began to cry now, silently. Arizona wrapped her arms around her tightly, pulling her half on top of her.
"Shh..It's okay. I'm here, you're here. We're both okay." Arizona rubbed her back soothingly, and kissed her head over and over again. Callie felt more calm, being in Arizona's arms. She always had that effect on her, not like anyone else. "I love you, Callie. And we're going to have lots of babies, a dog, a big house with a white fence, and a big yard. I'm always going to be here. I'm not leaving you." The blonde closed her eyes, feeling her girlfriend begin to calm down.
After what seemed like hours, Arizona felt when Callie's breathing slowed down, and she knew that she was asleep. The blonde didn't move or stop rubbing her back. She just stayed in the same position, and pulled the covers over them more, and whispered into her ear. "Thank you for saving me today..For that, you'll have my heart forever, and I will always be watching out for you. Some day soon, you'll marry me, Cal, and you will never have to be without me." Arizona closed her eyes and let sleep take her, knowing that no more bad dreams would come. They were together, and safe. That was all that mattered.
