"I envy them you know," The dragonborn said.

"What?" Her follower replied

"Dragons,"She simply said "They can fly free."

"Dragons are not one to envy, Dragonborn." They argued

"It is when you are dov, but you glide beneath the sky; it's very unusual considering most have wings." She said with longing. Her follower looked over at the masked woman.

"If you were meant to fly you would have been born a dragon," They said as if it were simple.

"I was, but I was trapped in that of a mortal," There was a deep sadness in her voice. "It's like if a wolf could not howl or a man could not walk; it's not a gift of the gods, but a curse to the soul." She looked over at her companion.

"Then why do you hide your face behind a mask? I thought dragons were proud creatures." They questioned out of true curiosity.

"I know what you think, you think it's because of fear," She smirked underneath her mask, even if they could not see her face. "And that is completely correct," Her follower stopped in their tracks. As if hearing that the dragonborn having a fear is unheard of. "But not because of my identity being revealed to you, but to the dov." her smirk fell beneath her confined face. "Dovahkiin is what the dov call me, that born of a dragons soul and a mortals body." She looked to a dragon flying off in the distance. "So the word is kind of funny, Dragonborn, because I was never born a dragon." The rest of their journey was silent.

AN: So this is my first ever Skyrim post, there is not really any pairing just an unnamed follower and the dragonborn having a talk on their way to a quest. I hope you like it c:
