She stood there
She stood there. Lifeless. Unaware of everything that was happening around her.
After the final Metarex battle, Cosmo was embedded into a tree, similar to the fate of her mother, who perished completely, only days ago. A new enemy had appeared and stole the planet egg leaving all plant life to die. They had defeated the enemy, but many of Cosmo's friends and family were eliminated. Cosmo was lucky. The power of her red emblem was keeping her alive, but at a terrible cost of pain and suffering. She had no clue how long the shield of her charm would remain, before she was destroyed along with her family.
There was one way she could be free, but it was nearly impossible. If the seven chaos emeralds were found and brought to her, it would provide just enough power to free her from her dieing corpse and let her rejoin her old body, from before the Metarex attack. Unfortunately she hadn't the slightest idea where they might be…unless they were with Sonic. Although even then, she would have to find him, and she doubted she had enough energy to travel to plant life on another planet.
Cosmo scolded herself. She had to try. It was her only hope.
She tightly braced herself as she painfully struggled to absorb the remaining energy from her family's bodies, which were lying gently on the dirt. Purple rays of light came towards her as she focused on her destination. She felt an excruciation in her bark, but it was over in a few moments, as she felt herself in the corpse of another tree, but certainly on a different planet.
The sun was bright and quite larger, that was her first hint. Also, the land was beautiful and infested with plant life. Many flowers and trees covered the planet, but it had an equal balance with live creatures. There were buildings out in the far distance and a beach in the near. She hadn't seen anything more beautiful. Birds were chirping quietly on her and though to most plants, this would be a pain, Cosmo found it very comforting. She looked around for anything the pointed out, any clue that would help. She was still curious as to what planet she was on…until she saw someone. It couldn't be.
"Tails! Would you like to try my new cream cake?" Cream asked, trying not to blush. Even though she was sure Tails felt the same way about her as she did him, she still got nervous around him. She felt like Amy sometimes: Obsessive, Crazy and Determined. Only one of which really got good attention from Tails.
"Thanks Cream!" He replied, rolling out from under the X Tornado. He was still making adjustments. His face was covered with grease. Cream handed him a hanky. He smiled and accepted before wiping his face.
"Tails, you should really stop working so hard. Eggman hasn't attacked in days, I don't think he would start now.." She commented, trying to lure him away from his work.
"Sorry Cream, but you should always be prepared for the worst. Cosmo taught me that." He replied, wiping the sweat off of his forehead. He still cared about Cosmo, even though it's been 6 years.
"I miss her…" Cream said aloud, reminiscing in her memory. She was a bit jealous of his close relation ship with Cosmo. Cream wished Tails thought of Her that much.
"Me too, Cream. Me too." He said, comforting her. She felt like she was going to cry. She may be older, but her sensitive heart hadn't changed a bit. It was then, that a gust of wind blew though the garage doors. Cheese yelped with concern. This was the first time Cream even noticed Cheese was there. She smiled, but blocked it with a concerned look after seeing the confused and slightly discouraged face of Tails.
