He rolled over onto his side and looked at his girlfriend, his head propped up in his hand. Watching her features in the sunlight for a few tedious moments, he traced the back of her hand quietly. She seemed to get the picture and opened large opal eyes. She smiled softly and caught his eyes.

"What is it?" she asked him quietly, sensing that something was bothering him.

He wrinkled his nose a bit for emphasis. "I'm bored."

She giggled softly, pulling herself up to sit. "You're always bored," she pointed out, taking his hand in hers.

The sun shone on the pair, heating their bodies. "I am not always bored," he countered.

Her laughter jingled in his ears. She pulled his hand to her mouth and pressed a soft kiss to his knuckles. "I thought you were a genius," she mumbled quietly. She flicked her eyes to meet his and smiled gently, hoping he hadn't caught her.

He grumbled under his breath and dragged her back to the grass, a hand on either side of her head. She blinked up at him, surprise captured perfectly by her features. Her mind caught up with her and she smiled sweetly at him. "What is it you want to do?" she asked him, pulling her hands to her stomach and pressing her forefingers together.

"I was hoping you'd have an idea."

She bit her lip thoughtfully and looked away from his face. A few moments later, she caught his gaze again with a bright smile. "Let's get married."

Taken aback, his mouth fell open. "Wha--?"

"Let's. Get. Married," she told him again.

He frowned at her. "I heard what you said."

Her mouth opened a little. "You weren't expecting that, were you?"

"No." He rolled back over onto his side and stared at her while she looked at him.

She rolled onto her side, facing him eye-to-eye. "You don't want to, do you?" she mumbled.

He sighed heavily and caught his hand in her hair. Before she could begin her nervous babble, he kissed the corner of her mouth. "When?"

This time, she was speechless.

"Well?"

"Ano… Aa…"

He chuckled and slid his hand from her cranium to her waist. He waited a few more seconds of her catching her words before he tickled her side, causing her to yelp. Her cheeks flushed brightly and she bit her lip.

"Now!" she announced, grabbing his hand and pulling him up as she got up herself. "We're getting married now."

"Wh--!?!"

He did not have a chance to reply, as he was dragged to Hokage-sama's office and wed before he could even catch his breath.
