"Matt, you left the cupboard open."
Shrugging guiltily, the boy glanced towards the half-closed door, at the two-foot-or-so separating him from it, and back again.
His eyebrows creased in indecision. He didn't want to get up.
Then, sudden inspiration.
He lifted his dinner off the heatproof matt and, grabbing the side of the dining table for balance, used the cork board rectangle to nudge the offensive unit closed.
"Now that's what I call laziness," Mr. Ishida was clearly impressed.
"Actually," corrected young Matt curtly, "The word is resourcefulness."
Heya gang!
This is just a little piece of nonsense I thought up- and my first ever drabble!
(I always thought drabbles looked best if viewed in the 1/2 page option).
This is set before Season 01 [Que all the fangirls aww'ing at Young Matt].
