Karkat starts to laugh.
"Whath tho funny?"
"The fact that you can't not lisp."
"I can talk normal any time I want to."
"Fine, I will give you all of my boonbucks and my computer if you can say sassafras without lisping."
Sollux narrows his eyes, trying to figure out if Karkat was being serious. Karkat had gotten the newest computer right before they had started the game because his had... well... lets just say he got a nasty virus and his computer kind of exploded, so he had the newest softwear of any of them.
"You're on."
Sollux glares at kk, and kk just smirks,
"I want to see this."
"Thathafrath, no, Thath... Thatha... Thath... Thththththththththththt..."
He gasps for breath.
"Give up yet?" says Karkkat smirking down at the panting troll.
"No."
Then Sollux gets up, and stomps off.
He needs to find someone who can help him, so obviously, he goes to kanaya.
He finds her in her respite block, reading of all things.
"I need your help."
"With what might I inquire?"
"Kk bet me hith boonbuckth and computer that I couldn't thay thathafrath without lithping."
"That is quite the challenge."
Kanaya looks back to her book.
"I need your help, though."
"With what?"
"I... I can't do it, I can' talk without lithping. I thought you could help me."
"I'm not sure how to solve your problem, Sollux, but I can try."
"Thankth"
"Now, can you say anything without lisping?"
"No."
"Hmm... Try to slow down when you talk."
"Okay, and how ith thith going to help me?"
"Just do it."
"Okay, howths thiths?"
"Getting better, now, close your jaw when you say s'es so that you can't lisp."
"Why didn't you tell me to do that in the firtht plathe?"
"I wanted to see how bad it was."
"Tho, I'm an expirement?"
"Yes."
"Great."
Sollux slows locks his jaw and slows down.
Through his teeth he says, "Iss thiss better?"
"Yes, much better, now, open your mouth for everything you normally would, but keep it closed for the s'es."
"So like this?" He says, very slowly.
"Yes, perfect."
"Thankth kanaya!"
"No problem."
As he walks down to the control room, he has a little extra spring in his step.
He waltzes off of the transportalizer, walks to Karkat, and whispers in his ear very slowly and carefully, "Sassafras"
Sollux grins, while Karkat scowls, handing over his computer, mid sentence. He had apparently been arguing with the Jade human about something below Sollux's intrest.
"And the boonbuckth?"
"Sixth door on the left on the ninth adjacent corridor to the one my respite block is on." He growls through his bared teeth.
"Thanksss, Kk, sssee you later." You purposefully hiss in his ear.
"Show off."
"Yeth, yeth I am."
Sollux walks down to the transportalizer with an extra spring in his step, Karkat's computer under his arm, and a few hundred boonbucks richer.
