Dark Shadows
Chapter 1-The cabin
Through the dark and lonely woods trees' stare at us with eyes like stone, killing us off one by one. A lonely cabin stands in the middle of the forest, six go in but only one comes out. Me and my five best friends were having a sleepover, we went for a 'hunt of survival' in the woods. Little did we know that there was a killer on the loose. There was only one person that would survive and that person is and will always be me. Although I am not the killer I need to find out who is before it's my time to die. Our trust and faith in each other will be torn apart by the killer. I'm Madeline and this is my recollection of what happened the month we were at the cabin...
It was a cold and windy night, "it's getting dark guys we should start heading back" I said to the others. "You're just spooked aren't you?"Roxanne replied with a smirk on her 'perfectly' golden brown face. "Only because of the killer on the loose" I angrily snapped, Roxanne replied "Who? oh you mean The Huntsman?". The trees' and bushes rustled, "What was that?" I asked with a scared tone in my voice. "I...I think it was...THE HUNTSMAN!"Roxanne screamed. Everyone started to back away, I turned to see what they were backing away from, it looked like The Huntsman. I punched him in the face, he groaned and i then recognised him... it was my boyfriend Mason. "oh i'm so sorry mason, you know i hate getting startled like that. I'm so sorry I punched you!" I apologised. "I think you broke my nose Maddy, those self defense classes really paid off" Mason replied, his voice muffled by his hand cupping his nose, blood dripped down his face. "Yeah I guess" I quickly replied. We walked for what seemed like hours, but in a matter of a few minutes, we were being captured one by one. Pheobe was first, then Matt, then Ross, then Roxanne, then Mason, then finally me. We all got captured the same way, a bag over our heads then arms and legs bound by rope, but first we were gagged by a rag drenched in chloroform. When we awoke, we were in a dark room. I heard a voice crying out names' "Pheobe, Matt, Roxanne, Ross, Maddy are you here? Are you all ok?" it was mason's voice. "Mason!, oh it's so good to hear your voice again. Where are we?." I asked with a scared and panicky tone in my voice. Mason replied "I don't know but it looks like a wooden cabin.". In reply was the snarky voice of stuck up Roxanne" And how would you know?", "I don't but..."Mason said before Roxanne snapped back "but what huh?". "Roxanne don't be so snarky, you know your not as perfect as you think" Pheobe cried with a voice full of rage and anger towards Roxanne. "Pheobe! settle down, if we're going to survive we need to work together" Matt said to calm the tension. "Matt's right" I agreed "If we are to survive this we need to work together and not fight". Pheobe and Roxanne replied at the same time "Fine!".
