A shooting star
A story based on Naruto
It was late at night and still the kyuubi-kid couldn't sleep. He was wondering how his former teammate was doing. He thought about everything that had happened the past years, but he just wanted to forget some things. Things that he couldn't change now because it had already happened. He went outside and headed to the mountain with the faces of the hokages engraved in it.
He was just asking himself the same question over and over again as he stood there, but he didn't know the answer to it. "What if," that was how all the questions started. The most upcoming questions were: "What if I didn't promiss?" and "What if I were stronger and faster, would I've been able to save or retrieve them?" If he could've made a wish that night it would be to go back in time, so he could try again and again until he would succeed. He smiled to himself. "Yeah right," he said. "Something like that would never happen. I have to continue foreward without looking back too much." He said that to convince himself. He couldn't believe himself. He didn't notice the star that was falling from the sky, but that star was the beginning of him not looking back anymore.
The next day he had a mission with the teammates he had now. "Your later than normal Naruto. Is something wrong?" He looked up to the girl, she was one of the orriginal team seven. He smiled at her and told her that he was fine. "Do we have a mission sensei?" He never thought that they would get together so soon after a mission, but what could be the reason? "No, I just wanted us to gather since we found out that Naruto will be the next target of Akatsuki. Which means that you need to be extreemly careful." He saw his sensei looking at him. "Fine by me." That was all he wanted to say espessially because he wanted to hunt them down. "I know you think your strong enough, but we still don't know what we can expect since there are more Akatsuki members than the ones we encountered before." He knew that sensei was saying that because he would jump into a fight, mostly without thinking. "I know. And I promise I won't do anything stupid for the time being." Sensei looked at him and sighed. "Alright, why don't we go and eat some Ramen. It's my treat and after that we need to rest up for the next mission or the next attack." He and Sakura agreed. "Lets go then." "Yeah, thanks Kakashi-sensei."
