Mike stood in the doorway to Hoppers house as Eleven had started to walk in.
" Come on Mike!" She said in a pleading tone of voice.
" El I would but…" He trailed off leaving Eleven shaking her head confused.
" But what?" She crossed her arms.
" Are you scared of the deer heads?" She giggled pointing to the one above the small kitchen table.
" No, it's just… What if they come home?" He lowered his head and rocked on his feet thinking of how mad Hop and Joyce would be if they found him with her.
" Mike, seriously. That's what your afraid of? My dad coming home with Joyce?" She smiled.
" I told you Joyce went out to dinner with Hopper, and they went to see a movie. It's going to be fine. Now come in, please!" She grabbed his hand and didn't have to try very hard to get him through the doorway.
" Fine." He laughed.
El had bought him something, that's why she had him come over, but Mike didn't know that. For all he knew that they would just end up watching Indiana Jones again.
" I got you something…" Eleven said going to her closet to grab his gift.
" El, you didn't have to." Although Mike did want to know what it was.
" Well I did! Now close your eyes!" El smirked pulling the mysterious thing out from the closet.
She put it in his hands and said, "Open!"
There was a card that read "Go outside to the side of the house, there's a surprise waiting!"
Mike looked at her smiling face and she nodded getting up from the bed.
" Come on Mike! Your going to love it!" She jumped up and down still smiling.
" Ok, ok!" He said and started to run to the door. Once he had gotten almost to the side of the house he heard her say, "Wait!"
"Ok now really close your eyes." She took his hand.
" Now, before you look let me tell you that I saved all my money on this and if you don't like it tell me and-" Mike interrupted her.
" Hush! I'm going to love it!" He chuckled.
" Alright, ready…1...2...3!" She laughed.
" No way! El I can't believe you bought this!" He ran over to his brand new bike! He really loved it.
"Aw, im glad you like it! I just thought you could use a bike that can actually fit the two of us. Keep your old bike though it might come in handy." She said giving him a hug from behind.
After he tried it out, they went back inside and sat on her bed again.
Mike was still in shock.
"El….." He said holding her hand.
She leaned in slowly, being aware if he didn't want to kiss her (but she was sure he did).
Mike leaned in to but not as much as Eleven. They were close enough to touch noses and Mike kissed her and held it there for three seconds ( there longest kiss yet ).
El pulled away blushing a deep shade of red and smiled. Mike's hand let go of Elevens, but she took his hands and placed them on her face.
" I love you El." He whispered.
" I love you too." She whispered back.
