A/N
So, I told you I write more than eclare. And with some positive affirmations towards the subject of this pairing, I decided I should post it. I wrote majority of this over the summer. The very end part will be partially written in 2011 and such. If you really like eclare and can't bare to read anything else, then this isn't for you. And I'm fine with that. But if you really like my writing enough(God
willing) then you might just like this. Once again, I'm not done with eclare in any manner, expect more stuff from me on that pairing, but also keep your eyes out. I love a lot of pairing in various fandoms…and I do intend to cover a lot of them. So enjoy!
P.s. this is a two-shot.
She awoke to sunlight washing over her softly. Blinking and properly sitting up, she stretched and smiled. But suddenly the smile slowly lowered until it was a frown and the rest of her face scrunched up 'til a look of confusion was made quite clear.
Something was off.
She got up, looking around her organized room to see if maybe her bookshelf was no longer in alphabetical order.
No, that most certainly was not it.
She then opened her trunk and peered into it's contents, checking if her uniforms were not all accounted for, or heavens forbid, her Tuesday undergarments mixed up with Thursday's.
Once again, nothing seemed to have been misplaced or askew from her systematical organization.
She sat on the floor for a moment, face once again mirroring that look of confusion that still had not faded until it clicked.
Ah, now she remembered, as a smile spread across her face.
The usual sound -skittering feet of girls trying to get out once the reality of their mistakes were made clear- was no longer present this morning.
Ever since Hermione had taken the position of Head Girl she had to put up with the most unbecoming behavior of her fellow Head Boy. Draco Malfoy. She usually didn't have to deal with him in the least,
which pleased her greatly. The worst encounter she had with him was not directly with him, but cleaning the common room after one of his nightly trysts.
Some of the things left behind would never be forgotten. They had agreed to minimal contact as long as both of them were civil
to each other.
Civil, of course, was not the dictionary definition to these two. Not in the least. It meant they would not interrupt each other in what they enjoyed doing most. For Hermione, that was reading or writing
an essay for Charms class. For Draco, well, Hermione had a fair amount of noise warning to know not when to interrupt the Slytherin.
He still taunted her for anything he could and she still thought of him as the same old Ferret. From a distance a person
would never guess them to be the top of their year from the behavior they exhibited with each other.
Hermione now was still on her floor, thinking as to what made this morning different than the rest.
Having had not reached a reasonable explanation for the first time in years, Hermione quickly stood up and marched into the adjoining
bathroom and straight into Draco's room only to see something that made her head spin from the inability to choose from being shocked, scared, surprised, or out right disgusted.
This was in no way what Hermione would have ever expected to see. After a whole semester of being in the same living space, she thought she would have gotten to know a decent extent of his
behaviors by now. Her mouth hung open and just stood there in utter shock for a good 20 seconds before the Ferret himself broke his concentration to look up at his awaiting guest.
OMG, it's so short. I'm sorry. Next chapter will be longer! About 3-4 K longer.
Well. Review if you liked it or whatever. Thanks for reading!
