I've been thinking about this for a very long time and figured that I should get back to it. Unfortunately, my writing style has changed too much for me to continue what I started with so I'll have to rewrite the entire thing. Which is actually a good thing, so I'm not going to complain :)
Thus I have rewrote the prologue first. I'll get back to Peace eventually, it hasn't been dropped I just don't have too much inspiration for it at the moment.
I will finish it!

My Soul For Yours
The fact that she was back here should have said it all, really. But, was she really back here in this place? That was the real question and though she could plainly see it all before her, dull blue eyes couldn't really take it in. It was as if she was on auto-pilot, which could very well have been the case as she made her through through the ghostly empty halls of her own home, her eyes flickering from grey wall to grey wall and not really absorbing what she was seeing.
Three years. Was it really three years to the day since that day?
The door at the end of the hall loomed closer, her hand reached out for the edge of the sliding glass door and she pushed it open. It was slightly sticky and dusty from being left alone for the last few years, but she managed to get it open anyway despite the initial struggle.
And then she was free from the greys of the old house and stumbled outside into a world with no colours. Grass was black instead of green and as she moved forwards, there was no sound. Her senses were clouded – as though she had been struck deaf and nearly blind. She didn't notice, nor did she care as her eyes were focused only on the small slab of stone which sat at a top of a hill.
Her expression remained blank, but a single lone tear rolled down the side of her face and fell from her chin as she finally collapsed to her knees in front of it. Gentle, calloused fingers brushed along the name etched into the granite stone and she coughed as a croaking sob broke free from her throat.
She stifled the tears and sobs quickly, wiping at her eyes and smudging her face with dirt.
Messy strands of auburn hair fell loose from her ponytail as her eyes focused on trying to read the name on the stone, which was proving difficult. Nonetheless, she smiled bitterly when it was the familiar name of the person she was looking for.
"I've spent so long training and now, I know where everyone went wrong." Her voice was hoarse as she spoke, shaking her head slightly as she slipped a brown bag from her shoulders, dumping a load of different materials down at the foot of the tombstone.
"Forgive me. I just can't let you rest. I am incredibly selfish, I know. Forgive me..."
Blue eyes flickered to the bracelet around her wrist, a circle emblem dangling from it. A transmutation circle that she had created for this specific moment. Every detail was right, down to the very last line. The very last ingredient that couldn't possibly be bought from a general store.
Blood wouldn't do it – she needed something bigger. So much bigger to do what she wanted to do.
And deep down, even though she was terribly frightened, she knew that this would work. She knew it and that was enough to keep her going for the last three years. She had gotten so much better than she had been. She had learned so much, read so much, done so much. All for this moment.
This precise moment.
"Little brother..."
She clapped her hands together, light flickering around her and her eyes flared up with her determination.
"It's going to be my soul for yours."
