Harry knew this was Leo's revenge. The young man sighed as the droning voice of the coroner drilled through his head and he had to resist the urge to groan loudly in frustration. He looked up from the table that he was staring at and made eye contact with Nikki who was across the table from him, he had to stifle a grin when she rolled her eyes. Both Harry and Nikki had always made excuses when it came to avoiding meetings with the older coroner, even once signing up for a week long conference to get away from it. It was besides the point that Harry and Nikki saw more of their hotel room than the actual lectures. Leo was the one to always endure the coroners long winded meetings once a month. Harry shot a glare at the man sitting next to him and Leo just smirked slightly and returned to looking at the man standing at the front of the room. Harry has already looked around the room in the first fifteen minutes of the lecture trying to plan an escape route but an hour later he still had nothing. There was a knock on the door a few minutes later and the droning stopped as the coroner paused in his speaking and nodded towards the nervous looking lab technician at the door.

"Um…I have a phone call for Dr Cunningham from the parents of one of the deceased, they wish to speak with him now"

Harry breathed a sigh of relief.

"I'm terribly sorry" he sighed dramatically as he directed this towards the coroner "But I must take this phone call"

Nikki giggled into her hand when she heard this and the lab tech turned to her.

"And one of the police officers on your case is wishing to speak to you about a lead he's just found Dr Alexander"

Nikki glanced at the coroner who nodded slightly and Nikki got up, a smirk on her face, and exited the room but not before shooting a triumphant look at Harry as she passed him.

An hour later and Harry and Nikki were sitting in the lab talking and waiting for Leo. The young lab technicians pocket containing an extra fifty pounds. The lab's double doors slammed open and Leo walked in glaring at them.

"What was the last straw" he said loudly as Harry and Nikki smirked at him "You two don't even have cases"
