"Life is not a DVD player. There is no 'Rewind' button, to see if things could of gone differently. There is no 'Pause' button, so stop time so you can think for a while. There is no 'Skip' button, to jump across bad section of your life. There is only the 'Play' button...and sometimes, that button can cause one a lot of pain..." – Pokelad
Fiona watched him leave with tear-filled eyes. The green blur disappearing in a blink taking along with it her first-born child. She and Scourge had been close for a while but that didn't stop him from being who he was. She'd kill the judge if she ever found him. Her ears folded back as the memory played.
Flashback
She had been fighting over custody of their child, Manik but it wasn't going in her favor. Scourge had money and had more support they barely listened to her. Lack of age, lack of funds she burst out crying as the final statement was decided.
"After hearing both sides of the story I have come to the conclusion that Mr. Scourge T. Hedgehog will gain sole custody of Manik, the court is adjured." The mallet it down and Fiona could barely speak. She signed what little rights she had over to Scourge while tears started falling.
End of Flashback
They did not say anything to each other he just took Manik and left. She asked Shadow to follow him, her telepathy providing a link between them. Being in the human world there were numerous dangers that could've happened yet she was in shock as the most common one stole her heart away. Listening through Shadow, she heard the squeal of tires and the thuds of two bodies hitting pavement. Her mind froze as the numbness overtook her.

Clad in black she tried to keep her voice from breaking. Her heart bleeding as she spoke her words. No one cared to listen, the rambling of a young love scarred by the drama she had to deal with now.
"Regardless of what happened to me from him, I never wished this to happen, my love for them both will live forever and my heart will never heal from their release."
Her speech over, done with and the coffins lowered she let the tears fall dropping in a constant rain to the dry earth below. As if to follow her tears, it started to rain. She stood motionless as it soaked through her clothes the cold biting at her fur. She kissed her hand then brushed it to both of their headstones.
"Rest in peace" she whispered before making it back to her home slowly. While she wanted to drop to the ground and cry, her eyes out life had to go on. It would always go on and there was nothing else to do but live it.
