I do apologise, I know nothing about Japanese culture, so this has a westernised culture. This is a one shot and sort of a song-fic so you can listen to Frank Sinatra – Fly Me To The Moon

A top hat, a suit, dress shoes and a tie. All black. He knew she liked Sinatra. Well, who doesn't? But anyway, he knew she was in love with Sinatra. He grabbed the microphone, bought it to his mouth and waited for the music.
"A one, a two, a three, and a four," he mouthed, winking as she giggled watching him. "Fly me to the moon. Let me play among the stars. Let me see what spring is like on Jupiter and Mars..."

He knew he wasn't exactly a good singer, maybe he was tone deaf? He tried his best though. Takeru always tried his best for her, subtly though. She didn't know about the way he felt.

"In other words hold my hand. In other words, baby kiss me," He held his hand out to Hikari, beckoning for her to take it.

"What are you doing Takeru?" She was surprised. She'd never seen Takeru be so eccentric, especially in public. It made her smile in any case. At least now she knew why he had insisted he wear a suit, just to walk through Odaiba Park.

Taking his hand he pulled her onto the stage as he continued, "Fill my heart with song, let me sing forever more. You are all I long for, all I worship and adore."

He always did something special on her birthday, just to make her laugh. He loved it when she laughed, even more when he was the one that could make her. They'd walked along the waterside to a small open cafe and were on a karaoke stage beside it.

"In other words, please be true. In other words, I love you," He began to swing around the stage, encouraging Hikari to do the same. They smirked at how stupid they were both being, just having fun together.

The music softened and died down. Walking off the stage Hikari thanked Takeru, she loved how he was such a goofball sometimes. They began to walk home, it was getting a bit late.

"Hey, Hikari."

"Yeah?"

"I hope you had fun."

"You're so funny T.K. Of course I did," She smiled at him.

"In other words, I love..." he thought again.

Maybe he would tell her another day.

"I love the sunset tonight," He smiled back at her as they walked away.

This probably sucked, but constructive criticism would be appreciated.
Cheers.
