Summary: In the present day, Erik (who doesn't have a car), now living in a small cottage in the Paris countryside, meets Christine, a red and white 1958 Plymouth Fury. Will it be love? Oneshot unless someone gives me ideas. Read & Review please!

Erik was walking home after the taxi had dropped him off from looking for a car. He had looked in every dealership he saw, but he hadn't found a car that he loved. Erik had seen very nice-looking cars, but he didn't feel any special connection with any of them. He wanted his own car because he was tired of taking taxis everywhere and he hated all of the taxi drivers.

Anyway, Erik had just gotten to the road that led to his home when he saw a beautiful Autumn red and Ivory white 1958 Plymouth Fury. Erik's jaw dropped in awe and his heart skipped a beat. Suddenly, the car's radio turned on by itself and an old song by Johnny Ace called "Pledging My Love" started playing to him.

Forever my darling our love will be true

Always and forever

I'll love just you

Just promise me darling your love in return

May this fire in my soul dear forever burn

My heart's at your command dear

To keep love and to hold

Making you happy is my desire dear

Keeping you is my goal

I'll forever love you

The rest of my days

I'll never part from you

And your loving way

Erik's heart started thundering in his chest with more love for this beautiful Christine that the love he had once felt for sweet Christine Daae paled in comparison to the love he felt for fiery Christine. Erik walked over to Christine and kissed her hood. He then sang an old song by Elvis Presley to her.

Wise men say only fools rush in

But I can't help falling in love with you

Shall I stay

Would it be a sin

If I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea

Darling so it goes

Some things are meant to be

Take my hand, take my whole life too

For I can't help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea

Darling so it goes

Some things are meant to be

Take my hand, take my whole life too

For I can't help falling in love with you

For I can't help falling in love with you

Erik walked over to the driver's side of Christine, opened her door, got behind her wheel and closed her door. Christine then started herself up for Erik and they drove home. This is how they first started loving each other.
