This story's starting out, and I'm not going to state any of the plot yet, since I'm still unsure where it will go. This is just the prologue, but I'm working on the first chapter now, and it should be up soon.
Prologue
Sasami ran ahead, eager to get to her literally "first" day of school. After dealing with some odd circumstances over the years, her older sister Ayeka agreed to send her to an "earth" school. She would be starting 8th Grade. Luckily the planet Jurai had similar math and language concepts, so Sasami shouldn't be so far behind.
She ran to the bus stop and got on the bus in the nick of time. She should stop worrying about herself last now that she was academically bound. She'd hate to start running late for school. "School!" It felt so good to say that. She couldn't understand why Tenchi could hate it so! Learning about so many things! It was a building full of wondrous ideas and philosophies meant for you to learn and experience, and it was all open to her eager mind.
She left her thoughts to find a seat; only one was left. She sat down and turned to look at the occupant of the window seat. Her hear caught in her throat, her face flushed a rosy pink, and she got an enormous tingling sensation in her stomach..or was it her soul? A boy who looked a bit older than her sat in that seat. He had curly golden-brown hair, a straight, slightly hooked nose with a slightly stubborn chin, a clear, pale complexion and perfectly arched eyebrows. Sasami gulped inwardly. This was un-deniably a handsome creature beside her - beside HER! If only she could see his eyes...
At that moment he turned to look at her. Sasami didn't notice anything but his eyes after that. They were such a deep mid-night blue, her thoughts went in those eyes, and her soul into his own.
"Hi.....excuse me...are you all right?" The boy asked, waving his hand in front of her shining pink eyes full of an unmistakable passion showing, a passion many don't ever feel.
"Hmm? What? Oh..yes! I'm sorry, I just..." She muttered hurriedly.
"It's all right, I zone out sometimes too," he said in a relaxingly tone that made her heart skip a beat. "My name's Shane, what's yours?"
"Sasami."
"Pretty name."
"Yours is too! Oh, I mean that in a masculine way!" Sasami quickly recovered.
"It's OK," Shane replied, smiling. He started blushing slightly. Why was he feeling..weird?
The bus pulled in front of the Jr. High.
"So..I guess I'll see you in class?"
"Yeah..guess so..."
The two hurried off, thinking of there first meeting. To bad someone was planning there first meeting with her.
