Author's Notes:
I just need to do this. Every episode right now is about Gwen and Arthur. I just can't stand it. These producers cannot understand how much Merthur means to us. And the title of the tv series is MERLIN, it is not GUINEVERE. So it should be centered around Merlin and his magic, and him helping Arthur to become the greatest king of Albion. It shouldn't be about Gwen and Arthur. Seriously, I don't hate Gwen, but I don't like her for Arthur. I just can't uhhh! Sorry for my rantings. On with the story….
The Proposal [Inspired by a youtube video that I saw]
"I'm going to marry Merlin, that if he says yes. So I've made up my mind, I want Merlin to be my husband and I want you to accept him as such," Arthur told his Uncle Agravaine. Agravaine can't do anything but to smile and nod.
Flashback
In the cave when Arthur and Merlin are out searching for the Dorocha.
"This belongs to my mother, bears her sigil, here," Arthur handling it to Merlin.
"Arthur, I can't"
"Yes, take it."
Arthur thinks that he's falling for Merlin, and Merlin's falling for him too.
Present
Arthur went to the physician's chambers and asked Merlin to come with him outside the castle for a walk.
"Arthur, where are we going?"
"Just outside the village gates."
They walked till they reached the forest. And beyond it lies the lake where Merlin buried Freya and Lancelot, the same lake where he saved Arthur from the sidhe, Sophia. There lies a candlelit dinner under the moonlight.
"Arthur, this is beautiful. But why?"
"Merlin, will you do me the honour of becoming my husband?" Arthur said this while going on one knee holding out the ring.
Merlin was surprised. He embraced Arthur.
"Is that a yes?"
"Yes! Yes it is!" The happiness in Merlin's eyes can be seen.
Arthur put the ring on Merlin's finger and gave him a sweet kiss.
