Jake and Gazpacho

By: Julio Chavez

Jake gets home from a long day in the potato fields. His muscles ache from the hard work he did. He wants to come home and relax. Jake gets home and meets his autistic son in the dining room. He says "Gazpacho Gazpacho." Gazpacho replies. "Yes Papa?" Jake says, "Eating ass?" "No Papa" Jake says, "Telling lies?" Gazpacho says "No papa!" Jake responds, "OPEN WIDE!" and Gazpacho opens his mouth to reveal a white thick substance in his mouth, confusing Jake as he stares in shock at what his son appeared to be eating. When he sees this, Jake's memories of his father start running through his mind. He remembers when his father would come home, drunk, and beat him while his mom gasps at the man she married, and in awe of what he has become. His mom would take off her clothes and take Jake's dad on top of Jake's beaten body. When Jake comes to the present, he sees Gazpacho in the corner, staring in horror as his dad slowly puts down the lamp he picked up, ready to strike Gazpacho. Jake goes and washes his face, then goes to his son. "I'd never hit you like my father, you know I love you," says Jake, putting his hand on his son's shoulder. Gazpacho let out a silent "reee" as he doesn't have the mental capacity to talk. Jake looks at his son and sees a resembling image of his late wife, Patty. He hugs Gazpacho and goes to his room.

He gets into the shower and thinks about his day and his actions. He thinks about his loneliness, and his son, who stays alone all day, without a friend or companion to keep him company. As Jake washes his muscular body, he feels a presence throughout his house. Immediately, he gets out of the shower and ties a towel around his waist. He quietly searches his house for the strange aura he detects. Then, his doorbell rings. He looks through the peep hole of his door and finds a scarecrow looking back at him. Jake backs away slowly, scared of the events about to happen. Suddenly, his door explodes, and the scarecrow moves into his house. Jake runs away, but the scarecrow grabs him by the foot. "I am the King of All Scarecrows, and I am looking for a host to fuse my body with theirs," bellows the scarecrow. Jake replies, fearing for his life "Pwease no, I have a swon and no mommy uwu." The scarecrow looks at him, "You have the perfect body type for what I'm looking for, now spread your cheeks!" Jake cries out loud, "No please! I'll do what you say, but don't do anything to my son!" The scarecrow turns to his son's room and blows the door down. He grabs Gazpacho and casts a spell, and he disappears. Jake screams, "WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY SON!" But he was no match for the spirit. Jake was forced to bend over and the scarecrow fused his spirit with Jake's body using the legendary succ. Jake cried in pain, and after what seemed like eternity, everything stopped. Jake blacks out.

When Jake wakes up, he looks around, first at the destruction of his anus, then at his house. He then remembers his son. He goes to his room and finds a crow where his son used to be. "Gazpacho," Jake cries as he puts his head on the bed, mourning the death of his son. But suddenly he senses movement, his house starts to crumble, and his roof collapses. The crow rises and activates a gold shield, making them immune to the damage of the falling building. Jake looks at the crow. "Gazpacho?" The crow replies, "Yes papa?" and Jake burst into tears as he hugs his son. Being turned into a crow cures his autism, and now with his new powers, Jake and his son Gazpacho go out and fight the forces of evil throughout Runeterra. THE END
