Not a cheery x-mas tale at all, sorry to be bleak I'm just not feeling it this year…..

Cold lights

The bright lights flashed insensately as though forcing the area in her small car to join in the festivities.

Her cold hands drummed on the wheel subconsciously keeping in rhythm with the lights. Sharpay sighed; fuck! It was so cold her breath was visible, a steady stream of white.

She didn't have to enter the house to know the celebrations were already in full swing. Ryan would have dragged the much used karaoke set out, Kelsie would be hammering away on the piano, to hammered herself of course, for her festive tunes to make any sense.

Taylor would be shouting at her boyfriend, as a heavily drunken Chad was finding a new confidence in handling the Evans pricey china.

And the two, the precious two, would no doubt have sneaked away by now; screwing around in one of the many rooms available in her childhood house.

She should really get out of the car now, enter the house. Sharpay told herself it was the cold making her stall, but she was already turning into ice sitting in her Lexis.

Why had she come exactly?

The reason escaped her. She guessed she couldn't face another year defrosting slices of organic turkey, a bottle of champagne and only E! news for company in her trendy New York flat.

But she didn't really want to be here either, with drunken ghosts of her past. People that didn't hate her but didn't really like her all that much, some stigmas never died…

Groaning in regret she finely forced herself out of the car, she'd been wrong; it was most definitely colder out here.

The front door was opened by a cheering Ryan, his smiled increased in her appearance and two red spots colouring his cheeks told Sharpay the alcohol supply had been well depleted.

God she hated Christmas.

Oh what the heck; merry x-mas to all!!!!!!
