AN: This is my messed up dream that I got after I reread New Moon For who knows how many times. Again. It is short. That's the only way to describe it.

Emerald Eyed Bird

Staring at the blank page before her, she knew that she should be writing down her teacher's every word as all of the other students were, but her mind was elsewhere. The teacher went on about some unfamiliar topic, not noticing how one of her student's deep, empathic, brown eyes were filling with tears.

The lights reflected on the fake, wooden table; the surface reminding her of a ballet mirror from a few months ago.

Closing her eyes, she sees a bright green light slowly turning into emerald eyes piercing into her soul.

Quickly opening her eyes, she stares widely as a young bird calls out. The window next to her was painted black, along with the modernized walls. No one knew why there were painted black, they just were. The walls and the windows faded into each other, creating a box- like effect that would surely unnerve any human being, but she didn't care about that. The only important fact was that she could see out of the window.

How? She couldn't perceive that.

The measly bird, that she now recognized was an owl, had wide, knowing, green eyes. The same shade of green that she was imagining not even minutes ago.

Deeply surprised and partially frightened, she leaps up, out of her plastic chair, causing her teacher to shriek in shock. Taking no notice of her bewildered teacher, she walked toward the only door leading to the outside of the prodigious mansion- like building: toward the emerald eyed bird.

Ending AN: The green eyes are Edward's eyes, by the way. The rest of it, like the walls, I don't understand myself. Thank you for reading, and sorry if I wasted your time. Review, please!
