For Jareth loved Sarah, that much he knew.
He had always loved Sarah, from the very start.
After their encounter at his labyrinth, he watched her fulfill her dreams. He watched her learn, he watched her succeed in her life, and he knew she would, because he made it happen for her.
Jareth had always wanted the best for her, as he knew she deserved it.
And when the time came right, he took her as his queen.
Sarah was confused when he did, for she had not seen Jareth in the longest time.
When she called upon him, he would come. Usually, she'd be drunk or disoriented, or both. Jareth came simply because he loved her, no other reason.
Jareth never understood what attracted him to Sarah, unless of course the gods decided that she was his soulmate.
When Sarah and Jareth became high king and queen of the underground, there was a large celebration, for change was to come upon them.
Sarah had changed a lot of things about the Underground, the Labyrinth, and Jareth himself, all benefiting the people she helped rule over.
Sarah became the legendary mortal queen who would be told in stories one day.
Jareth knew Sarah to be a wise choice, for she had done so much for their people, and himself.
It wasn't until 392 years later that she bore Jareth's first child.
Sarah and Jareth had a daughter, who took after her father more than anyone. The princess was a daddy's girl, for Jareth was wrapped securely around his little princess's finger.
The little girl, Stella, was a female version of her father.
A pure beauty, inside and out, witty and talented in music and dance. She was her daddy's girl and her momma's world.
Sarah bore two more children afterwards, two boys.
Jareth Jr. and David, both taking after their mother.
Jareth Jr. became the heir of the throne, and David was chosen to rule over the Elvin clan in the aboveground.
After 34 more years, Jareth Jr. took over the throne of high king and had chosen and chosen an Elvin fae for his wife, Falina.
She, too, was a gorgeous being. White hair, and blood red eyes, a smile that could kill, she became the high queen of the underground.
Jareth was still king of the goblins, and Sarah still queen.
So to speak, after 193 years of being queen of the goblins once more, they lived for the rest of eternity, happily ever after.
For Jareth loved Sarah, and Sarah loved Jareth.
And that's just the way things are.
