"Hey D, I brought something for ya! A bakery by my place has a new sort of petit fours. They're these really little cakes; I thought you might like to try them out."
The police officer was met with silence of all but a few animals that D allowed in the front. He found it strange, seeing as D would normally by now have been crawling over the man to get to the treats. Something was off.
Leon slowly placed the bakery bag on a coffee table and warily searched the room. Automatically his hand went to where his gun normally was; too bad he was there off duty and without one.
/Where the hell is he/
The blonde's eyes fell on the door that led to the back rooms. He moved with long, quick strides to the door and pulled it open. Immediately he was hit by the sweet smell of incense he had grown accustomed to from being in D's shop. He stepped forward into the hazy air, letting the door close behind him.
He saw another door, something stirred in his memory at the sight of it but he brushed it off. His gut was telling him he would find D behind it. He paused before reaching his hand out and turning the knob. Slowly he pushed, allowing the door to swing open.
He was greeted by the sight of a rolling plain, completed with leafless trees. He stopped, mid-step, gapping. Quickly he shut his mouth with a snap and continued walking. Slowly he was getting used to the pet shop, in all of its strangeness.
There was a hill towards on side of the door with a stone bench at the crest. A figure, clothed in a white cloak sat there.
It was then that he remembered where he saw that door. This was the same place where he met those two beautiful women.
"Another one?"
He ran up the hill, the person was facing away from him. Not wanting to startle them, officer Orcot gently placed his hand on their shoulder.
"Excuse me ma'am, have you seen D?"
He got no response. Moving he positioned himself in front of the cloaked body.
"Ma'am?"
Still no response. A hand reached out, hesitantly, toward the hood of the covering. Almost reluctantly he pushed back the fabric. A purple eye looked up at him, the other being covered by a curtain of dark hair.
"You know even animals know not to do something that has proven to hurt them in the past."
"D! Damn, don't do that."
D smirked and stood, bringing both of their bodies dangerously close to touching. Neither made any move to put distance between them. A light blush ran up an uncomfortable face, Leon shifted his feet.
"I was brought to you for your pleasure, I am yours to love."
"What- what are you--"
Words were silenced as lips met lips. It was soft and tasted of chocolate and tea. They parted a smirk back in place, a blush grown stronger. The policeman blinked.
"Let's have those petit fours now. I have a new tea that should go perfectly with them."
D stepped away and started towards the door. Halfway down the hill he paused and turned back to the still stunned man.
"We can continue what we started later; kisses don't expire like cakes do."
He beckoned to Leon to follow him. Shaking his head the man did as bidden and quickly moved to catch up to the pet shop owner.
Author's note: The Petit Fours, though a real dessert (and supposed to be really good), I just pulled out of my head randomly. It was going to be a doughnut type thing, but that sort of thing wouldn't interest D at all. Constructive critisism is welcomed.
