Chapter 1: A slave and his master

Snap* a whip cracked as a man yelled "Well, I've never seen such laziness! Work faster you little brat" The man spat whipping his blond slave who was pulling a wagon full of recently mined metal ore up a hill once again for good measure with a grin on his face. The slave just grunted.
Ugh, I'm working as fast as i can, and if i say that he'll whip me more, if i scream because he's whipping me then he'll just enjoy it… if i say nothing he'll still whip" Naruto just continued pulling the cart of the hill, trying to ignore the verbal abuse, and pain in his back. After around an hour of this he heard "Stop!" from his task master, who was a middle aged, overweight ex-shinobi, who was now doing this for a living.
"I'm getting tired brat, we can stop here for now." The man spat, and pulled out some food and water from his bag, Naruto unhinged the cart and eagerly sat down a little ways from the man staring at the contents of his bag with envy in his eye. The man out of the corner of his eye saw the blond and his face became tight with anger.
"You're hungry?!" he asked incredulously "you want food, that worthless job you did?! Maybe if you work harder I'll consider feeding you tomorrow. Now get up! You don't deserve to sit and rest brat!' The man yelled, and Naruto shot to his feet, still eyeing the man. He ringled around in his chains a little, for comfort and just stared hopelessly wishing for food, or just a sip of water.
He didn't feed me yesterday either, I don't know how much longer i can go like ths Naruto winced at what would happen if he didn't have the strength to complete his tasks. Eventually the man got up, after stuffing his face. "Alright, gutter trash GET TO WORK" the man said cracking his quick, Naruto quickly began pulling the cart, after going for an hour (but what seemed like all day) they arrived at a town, and the cart was brought before a merchant.
"Nice, ore here, although these are a bit cracked…." the task master then shot Naruto a look that could shatter glass, Naruto turned pale at it, but eventually the price seemed normal and Naruto and his master checked into an inn. Naruto didn't get to sleep in a room but had to go to the slave quarters when, he got there Naruto just thought grimmly.
Same old same old The place was filthy and dark, with rodents crawling everywhere. Naruto, sat down, giving a sigh of relief, as he sat with his tattered rags, in the filth. He layed, back placing his cloak (or what was left of one) over himself.
How did i get here? Naruto thought. "I knew at one point i was free but it was so long ago…..
Flashback
"Danzo you can't seriously be proposing this!" The 3rd Hokage said, as the meeting had just convened.
"He is only a boy, not yet capable of wielding such power, we can put the 9 tails in a much more capable shinobi" Danzo said matter of fact. The 3rd only glared.
"Such a thing would kill the 4ths son! You can't honestly suggest we kill an innocent child"
"Of Course not Hiruzen come now, i have thought of everything I have developed a jutsu that will allow us, to safely extract the fox." Danzo said in warmth, Hiruzen twitched slightly at the council giving its approval
"And suppose it doesn't work! That child's blood will be on your hands danzo!" Hiruzen seathed.
"Well, I thought you'd be skeptical, should anything happen to the child, I will take punishment for the crime of murdering a child." Dazo said matter of fact, Hiruzen was speechless,
"V-very well" Hiruzen choked out
"Thank you for your cooperation Hiruzen, we will start the procedure first thing tomorrow morning" Hiruzen then dismissed the meeting at that, and decided to take a walk.
"Certainly Minato would've wanted this, his child is free of this burden." Hiruzen rationed to himself, smoking his pipe. "I hope I'm making the right choice" Hiruzen said to himself, before venturing up the stairs to Naruto's apartment, and knocking on the door, and soon a innocnet blond haired child opened the door. "Yeah gramps?" Naruto said bluntly, Hiruzen only chuckled. "Just wanted to know if you wanted to get some ramen, with a lonely old man like myself." Hiruzen pouted, Naruto's eyes lit up "As long as you're buying!" he said running out the door, Hiruzen followed shortly behind, smoking his pipe until they arrived, after they had ordered Hiruzen began. "Listen Naruto…. There a thing sometimes we have to do that we don't want to do." Hiruzen sighed, Naruto looked over at Hiruzen between bites "Like what old man?" Naruto asked innocently. "Well for me it's giving up time with my family to be Hokage, and sometimes I often wonder if it's the right thing, always wonder that…." Hiruzen said the final art under his breath "What are you getting at gramps?" Naruto asked. "Look Naruto, this isn't easy, but….. The council has decided to undergo a procedure for you." Hiruzen sighed. Naruto gave a confused look.
"Well the council believes it'll help the village." Hiruzen continued in hais. Naruto lit up at that "Help the village you mean like you gramps!?" Naruto beamed.
"Yes like me" Hiruzen choked.
"Then I'll do it!" Naruto said excited, Hiruzen chuckled at how excited he was, and then lunch went on, and eventually Hiruzen sent him home, payed and then once he got back to his house, he just sat in his living room and started crying.
"What have i done Minato!? I'm trusting Danzo to do the right thing, I don't know how i could have agreed to this" Hiruzen sobbed.
The next day
Naruto was escorted to the hospital by ANBU black ops early in the morning, and he met the doctors who were nothing more than actors, to cover the actually procedure. As they finished and were about to put him under Naruto whined.
"Gramps!" Hiruzen shot back, and kneeled beside Naruto's bed.
"Yes Naruto?" Hiruzen asked
"I'm scared, what if something goes wrong/" He asked innocently. Hiruzen just put his hand on Naruto's head.
"Do not worry Naruto, I will not let you down, I will always protect you" Hiruzen smiled and hugged Naruto, Naruto then snuggled up and let them inject him. Shortly after Danzo came in Hiruzen couldn't watch and went out the lobby feeling light headed. A little while after an ANBU came to Hiruzen in a cloud of smoke. "Lord Hokage the procedure was success" Hiruzen could've burst through the roof he was so relieved. "Danzo would like to talk to you now" Th ANBU stated Hiruzen nodded and before ong danzo appeared through the doorway.
"Yes Hiruzen, we now have a very strong capable, Shinobi wielding the 9 tails power thi is for the best." Danzo said putting his hand on Hiruzens shoulder. "Now, we will wait, until he recovers, and send him off as soon as possible." Danzo finished Hiruzen looked shocked. "End him off?!" Danzo nodded calmly. "Yes, of course you must realise because of his heritage he is a target, we need to remove him from the village I have already made arrangements." Danzo said
"Over my dead body!" Hiruzen growled.
"It's not my choice, it's the councils and you made the rules, stating the council had more authority than you." Danzo said opening his eye slightly "Why did i make that council?! They have been nothing but trouble and there's nothing I can do about it! Hiruzen seethed in his mind.
"Very well" Hiruzen said quickly leaving, rushing out of the hospital and sitting on a park bench nearby, he didn't know how he could live with himself. Shortly there after the day came, Dnzo had arranged for Naruto to go live with ex shinobis now farmers. In the country.
Before naruto left Hiruzen kneeled down beside him.
"Listen Naruto, just make the most of it, this is better for you." Hiruzen said reassuringly Naruto just nodded. "Here take this, Naruto it's from your parents I haven't even read it, your father told me to give it to you before he passed." Naruto took it, and Hiruzen and Naruto shared an embrace before Naruto left. The new family made there way to the old farmhouse, and later that night after Naruto had settled down and went to sleep he smelled burning and immediately, jumped out the window, then he saw his new parents being beaten by a group of things, one saw him and Naruto attempted to run but was caught by the top of his collar, as he took him the letter from his parent fell out and the man picked it up.
"Hey thats a letter from my parents!" Naruto shouted.
"You don't have any parents!" The man said burning the letter in the palm of his hand. "You are about to be nothing more than a pathetic slave!" and the background he could see a man with wrapping around part of his body talking to one of the thugs, 'Wait?: Naruto thought "wasn't he in the surgery room?"
End flashback
"Get up" Naruto heard with a swift kick to his side.
Naruto immediately got to his feet wincing in pain bringing his shackles with him. I must have dozed off thinking about it Naruto thought.
"So here's the deal brat." The slave owner said grinning. "I got another uch better slave, so you are going back on the market, these guys payed a pretty penny for you." The man chuckled, gesturing at the men. "He's all yours!" The man said throwing them keys, the tall one upfront saying nothing took Naruto by a chain around his neck, and drug him through streets until they arrived at a small cabin, where men could be heard screaming. "So kid, we are going to sell you as quickly as we can to the highest buyer, but first…. We need to beat you into submission." he man said with a sadistic grin making Naruto go to his knees as he beat him repeatedly with a flog, Naruto at first took the pain but eventually as the blood rolled down his back he began to plea for mercy, but his pleas were ignored until he was on the ground writhing in pain, as the man relented. "Alright, get up and wear our shirt bruised backs don't look good for buyers." The man said binging Naruto to his feet.
Naruto got up and was led by the shackle around his neck, to a stage where he and many other slaves were on display with a group of buyers talking in non comprehensible language.A few women walked by and took look at Naruto (also feeling him up a little) but ultimately didn't buy him then a beautiful girl with black hair and lavender eyes who looked as though she couldn't have been older than him came up. Looked at him and called a shopkeeper over.
"Him" she said quietly, Naruto in fact didn't even hear her, eventually they exchanged money and the shopkeeper took Naruto by his leash and dragged him to the brunette girl.
"Alright this is your new owner, you better not cause any trouble or else i'll make sure you pay he said pushing Naruto. The girl walked with him a little out of the crowd and the began speaking.
"S-so what's your name?" The girl said a little shy "I'm Hinata." Naruto just nodded well time for the first beating I've seen this trap before usually is them saying I'm not worthy of having a name, I'm just a slave or at least a ridiculing of my name, Naruto sighed.
"I'm Naruto uzumaki, Hinata-sama" Naruto said soberly. Hinata just giggled.
"That's a pretty name Naruto-kun" Naruto was a little taken back, formal names and she really just wanted to know my name? Naruto thought, eh she's just getting me comfortable so she can laugh in my face when i trust her. Naruto thought. Eventually Naruto they went home, and Naruto walked in standing in the room, of the wealthy apartment in town. Another rich master
However, much to Naruto's shock he felt the shackles being loosened, and eventually came off, his skin was bruised in cut, his shackles hadn't been released in years, he slept and always had them on.
"W-what" Naruto choked.
"Oh just thought you'd be more comfortable without those on." Hinata smiled. Naruto just stared How evil could she be to act this sweet only to take it back He thought wearily.
"So, Hinata-sama wh-" Hinata interrupted him in a shy voice.
"That's another thing can you not call me that." Hinata finished.
Naruto just lowered his head. "Of Course master, I'm sorry for assuming i could call you by your name, what punishment will you give me for my rudeness." Naruto said getting on his face. Hinata just looked at him shocked
"P-punishment?" She asked.
"Aren't you going to beat me or starve me." Naruto asked raising his head up a little.
"Goodness no!" Hinata gasped. "I would never do that, and you weren't being rude I meant call me Hinata not Hinata-sama…" Hinata said twiddling her fingers. Naruto got up and looked her.
"Yes, Mas- I mean Hinata. Now what would you want me to do first." Naruto braced himself for what she may ask him to do, often the first task was very difficult to put the slave into submission.
"Oh um, I'm tired, why don't you make us dinner can you cook." Naruto was sightly caught of guard by this, but acted natural.
"Yes, but only Ramen." He said monotone.
"I'm sure it'll be delicious I have the ingredients for it in the kitchen." Hinata said warmly. Naruto then went into the kitchen, finding the ingredients in the pantry, taking the ramen something he hadn't had since he was a child, and poured the noodles in wit warm water, preparing the brath and finally it was prepared, Hinata sat eagerly at the table, as Naruto had made a large pot of it, and poured a bowl for Hinata with ladle. Hinata sat and ate it, and Naruto waited for the criticism and finally Hinata spoke.
"Naruto." Hinata said wiping her mouth.
"Yes." He said wearily waiting for the criticism but was pleasantly surprised at the response."
"This is so good! Thank you so much!" She got another bowl and was eating enjoying every bite. Naruto stared at her eating, hoping he could maybe eat what she had dropped from her bowl, and Hinata saw him out of the corner of her eye.
"Oh did you want some?" Hinata asked sweetly.
"Y-yes" Naruto stuttered.
"Well, come sit down, you made it ofcourse you can eat it." She giggled and Naruto sat down ravaging the bowl, and one after another until the pot was gone, Hinata just stared at him blankly.
"You were hungry huh." She giggled.
"Kind of, haven't eaten in 3 days" He said wiping his mouth, Hinata dropped her fork.
"3 days?! Why didn't you tell me, i would've cooked us something." Hinata said with sadness in her eyes. Naruto just looked at her innocently.
"It's no big deal i can't remember the last time i got fed 2 days in a row." Naruto said nonchalantly. Hinata put her hand on his hand.
"Well that'll change tomorrow" She said sweetly. "Now, why don't you put on some new clothes and get washed up." Hinata continued Naruto just nodded.
