Consuming me,
These demon flames are.
Burning my humanity.
Throwing who I was far.
I feel like giving up,
Giving it all to a friend.
All of it to save him,
Even if he stabbed me in the heart.
Consuming me,
This lust is.
A lust for power,
A lust for blood.
Blinded by it,
I kill my best friend.
Consuming me,
This grief is.
He dies in my arms,
Apologizing to be.
For betraying his home
And stabbing me.
All for his family's revenge.
Consuming me,
The demons power surrounds me.
You shout you love me,
Yet I don't believe you.
Prove to me you do!
Consuming me,
My fear for your safety from me does.
You plow through the flames,
Burning yourself for me.
You don't stop running to me,
Even as you grit your teeth in pain.
Consuming me,
The warmth of your hug is.
You lay your head down,
Crying on my shoulder.
My humanity returns,
And I cry those tears,
That heal those burns.
Consuming me,
Those flames of your love do.
