Chapter 1
On one hand, she would've never thought that she would one day stand against her 'friends' but on the other hand, she always knew that she eventually had to leave them - she had known it all her life - her powers would never allow her to have friends - not until she could control them.
And that's why she had agreed to work for Slade - he had promised her control in exchange for information.
But unfortunately, once Beast Boy found out, he hadn't tried to help her - no, he cast her away and so she gave him what he wanted and left.
Only to come back, deciding to pay one last visit to him, contemplating on whether killing him would be proper punishment.
But somewhere during her fight, she hesitated to do so - because she felt he wasn't giving it his all - like some part of him…had still hope.
Could she still have hope?
"Beast Boy…why aren't you fighting? Did you give up already?" she asked, a heavy feeling suddenly in her heart.
She had given up already…or did she?
