Another Naruto idea. Not connected to Seal In Sanity.
Idea: What if a piece of Kurama was left out during the sealing process? A piece that was something entirely new that was a friend to Naruto since that day because that was all it knew?
Kurama shrieked in pain as he was being sealed into the infant. He was being pulled in and there was no chance of escape. Soon, everything was wet, and he was sealed behind some bars. It was clear he was unable to escape this place. There was no way. All he could do now was sleep until his day of liberation.
Something fiery orange was was forming beside the bundle. It took the form of a fox, it looked like the one that was sealed inside of the safely wrapped infant, but it was far smaller and it had the letter N on it's forehead in blonde fur.
They named it Nowaki. And it was kept with Naruto from that day on, as it was seen as the lesser of two evils for them to be kept together.
"Come on, Naruto!" The little nine tailed kit with a bandana tied around it's neck.
Naruto took a long drink of water, dishes in the sink, and his orange jacket was open for Nowaki to climb in. "Today's the day Nowaki! Today we start our training with Kakashi Sensai!" He said, putting another water in his bag and a bento box along with with some jerky into his backpack.
Nowaki hopped into the inner pocket of the jacket. "Hurry before we're late!"
Naruto pulled his backpack on over one shoulder to rest on his back before he walked out of the apartment and locked the door. "Let's go!" He started running, laughing with Nowaki as they made the way to school.
